I LOVE a small business, which is why I’ve been so disappointed with this shop. I had a screw in my tire, so I dropped it off and was told I would need to buy a new one for $430. That sounded absurd, but I didn’t have time to take it somewhere else. They apparently had to special order it. Meanwhile, at least a week goes by, and the whole time I’m putting air in my tire twice a day to keep it going. Finally, I call and ask about the delivery. They sounded flustered and claimed they didn’t know what happened to my ticket but that they’d make sure they’d get me that tire. Pretty sure they forgot to place the order…anyways, more days go by and I finally decide to go to Discount Tire. They replaced it within 45 minutes for less than $200 and seemed stunned that I was told the only safe tire option would be $400+ All-Star agreed to refund my $100 down payment. I just made my THIRD call to ask when I would actually be refunded. This has been going on for weeks. I’m not holding my breath. I agree with whoever said if you don’t have experience with cars or don’t know what the issue is, DO NOT bring it to All-Star. Especially if you’re a woman. I don’t know if they’re understaffed, incompetent, or scammy, but I do know that you’ll waste precious time and money going there.
My wife just gave birth to our first child at Eskenazi, and I noticed my rear right tire was flat when I had to grab the car seat. The guys at All Star Tire were able to help me as soon as they opened and get me back to the hospital fast.

Out of town (200 miles from home) on business and on my last day of being in Indy my car started driving different than before. Not a major issue apparent however I have limited knowledge on vehicles and sent a message to All Star when I arrived to my training facility. Kevin promptly called and I called back immediately. He was so kind and listened to the issues I was having with my car. He was more than willing to get my car in when I could bring it on lunch break for an assessment of what was wrong. His calm demeanor changed my entire mood and brought me a lot of peace. I was supposed to leave Indy after training ended that evening and did not want to risk driving the long trek back to my town before knowing what was wrong. He acted with urgency and said he would do everything to diagnose the problem before I left town. I have not brought my car in yet, but I will update this review and share final thoughts after they look at my car. Just Kevin making time and being calm when I was feeling frantic was enough for me to want to review them ahead of time of service. He understood my concern and urgency and I am so grateful for that level of customer service!
This is a great place to take your car! The staff is very caring and friendly. I will continue to go here for all of my car needs in the future!
Had a flat tire and wasted a day at a big-name shop downtown — they promised same-day service twice and didn’t deliver, then quoted me $500 for a replacement I didn’t need. Called All Star Tire and Auto Services on N Capitol Ave and had the BEST experience — they fixed my tire in under an hour for just $37. Friendly, honest, and fast! If you work downtown, skip the chains and go to this locally owned, family-run shop. Highly recommend!
