Excellent park for kids and family. Very calm and peaceful walk around the river. You can sit and relax and enjoy the sunset and color full water fountains. Vehicle Parking availabe: 7$ (19th July) All metered parking is free on Sat & Sunday, but hard to get spot.
I really enjoyed this spot in downtown Columbus. Standing by the Scioto River, you get such a peaceful feeling watching the water reflect the skyline and the historic LeVeque Tower. The Scioto Mile is perfect for a walk—green lawns, trees, and paths make it feel welcoming and safe. I loved seeing how the city blends modern architecture with nature, especially the curved white-roof structure near the river. Crossing the bridge with its decorative lamps felt like stepping right into the heart of the city. It’s one of those places where you can relax, take photos, and still feel connected to the energy of downtown.

Nice big open space to get a deep breath. There are eateries all around and you can spend some quality time here with your dogs or kids or just jog or cycle. It gives the city a very nice look too in my opinion.
We absolutely love this splash pad! However, I really hope the city will reconsider the hours this week during the heat wave. The splash pad does not open until 11 AM at which point the UV index and the heat will be unbearable and not an appropriate time for kids to be playing outside. I hope the city can create special hours this week to accommodate for the heat!!!
