We had a great stay here! The staff was friendly, helpful and the rooms are well appointed. The hotel is beautiful with several gallery areas, a cozy library with games and books for use as well as many other amenities to make your stay even better. The location is peaceful and immerses you in nature. We look forward to coming back and taking advantage of the many activities available. There are two bars that serve drinks and light bites plus a full service restaurant. We only ate at the bars this time but the food was very good. This is a fabulous place for a romantic weekend or just a quiet get away that allows you to appreciate the beauty of the area.
Great location, and I really loved the overall look and aesthetic of the castle itself — it’s beautiful and has a lot of character. Unfortunately, the room experience didn’t live up to the setting. The room was quite average. The shower was extremely small and the water pressure was very weak. Another thing I found strange was the lack of a refrigerator. I stayed with my daughter for several days and had nowhere to store basic items like milk or simple food. For a hotel charging around $400 per night, I would expect a refrigerator to be a standard amenity. When I asked the front desk whether there was EV charging available for my Tesla, I was told, “This is a hotel, we don’t sell cars.” That response was confusing and not very helpful. As a result, I had to drive out every day just to charge my car. It’s surprising that a hotel in this location doesn’t offer any EV charging options. Another concern was housekeeping. A staff member entered the room using a key card without knocking first. A male staff member suddenly appeared while I was in shorts and asked if I wanted the room cleaned, which made me feel uncomfortable. Overall, I don’t think I would stay here again. I would still visit the park itself, which is lovely, but I would skip the hotel.

My wife and I stayed at the Daniel’s Suite for a special occasion. We picked the room for the spa tub and romantic vibes. The room itself looked nice but upon walking in we noticed it was very cold. Temp in the room was 63 and thermostat was set to 70. After 30 minutes and noticing no change in temp or signs of the heaters working, we contacted the front desk. My wife stated the heaters don’t seem to be working and they said this is an “eco friendly” heating system and takes some time. We said there is no sound or sign of heat so they said they would contact the building engineer. A nice man who barely spoke English showed up with a small space heater. We saw him turn off and back on the thermostat as we had done 4x by now and said he reprogrammed the system and it is working now. We tried to be patient. The bathroom was way too cold to enjoy the tub and took a shower instead before our dinner. Shower was set on the hottest setting and was ok but it was so drafty and cold that seemed to be our only refuge. We moved the heater by our bed after dinner. Upon waking at 5am with chills, I looked at the thermostat and it was 60 degrees in the room. I remembered having an infrared thermometer in my car so went and grabbed it to verify. Yup it was around 59 to 60 in the room with the small space heater on full blast. We highly recommend if you are going to stay here to verify heat in your room first. Unfortunately this one thing ruined the romantic vibe and did not allow us to enjoy the comforts of the space. I got the impression after talking with the front desk as to how they handled the situation, we were not the first ones to have issues like this. If you are going to spend that kind of money for a nice suite, we would highly recommend another place to stay. These photos were from around 5:30am when I was too cold to get back to sleep. On a different note the restaurant was delicious. The chef had some amazing dishes and my wife and I will be back to the food only.
Such a cool spot. I can't wait to go back. From front desk check in, to servers and bartenders and valet, to check out was all superb and caring service. The room was great and stocked with teas, nespresso, bathrobe, and slippers. Very quiet in the rooms for a much needed restful sleep. I'm looking forward to spending more time on the trails next time.
AMAZING! It's a beautiful, clean and super comfortable hotel, with really comfortable beds and friendly and thoughtful staff! They left us a lovely note and a bottle of champagne for our anniversary, plus the hotel's restaurant brought us glasses of sparkling wine when we arrived for dinner. The meal was amazing, and we are still talking about the wagyu bavette! We loved our stay and will absolutely be back.
