I would like to Thank the crew who were working in Urbana today(5/10/19). They stopped working and took their hats off for respect of our Grandfather's funeral recession. Thank you for the respect and may God keep you all safe.
I contacted the company about my mailbox that was hit by one of their employees. The employee, John Duff, was on his way home from work. He told me he was trying to text his son, wasn't paying attention, went off the road and hit my mailbox. He said he spoke with his company and they would repair it. I then called R.B. JERGENS directly. The receptionist transferred me to Ryan Wheeler when I explained why I was calling. I explained that I would like to know their plan to fix or replace it before I decide anything. Mr. Wheeler said he would send a couple guys out to take pictures and that maybe he would go out himself, then they will have to buy supplies. I stopped him before he could continue on with the next step and I said, "don't buy any materials. I want to first see a work order and what you plan to do before I agree to let you do the work". I told him I would call this afternoon. I notice they arrived late morning. Around noon, I called and left a message to please send a very detailed work order with all the supplies needed to my email. The flowers in my planter we're all gone as were the flowers around my planter . It appeared they "weed whacked" them . I could not have been more clear to mr. Duff and mr. Wheeler about not doing any work until I agree. mr. Duff told me that RB Jergens is a reputable company and that they do good work and it would be like new. Honestly, if the work had been done perfectly it wouldn't have mattered to me. I would still be upset that they didn't wait on my permission. The work was horrible. I wish I could post pictures for other people to see not to hire this company. First, my original post was taken! Second, the post that they replaced it with was either shorter or put in the ground deeper so that the mailbox was not as high. I could go on and on. The mailbox that they replaced it with was a different color and it was scuffed on both sides like it wasn't new. The post and mailbox did not have my house number on it. My old post had a very nice house number that would be reflective when headlights hit it. It was metal with a green background and white numbers and looked similar to what they use street signs with. Now there were no numbers. When I spoke with mr. Miller in the morning I mentioned to him that that address sign was bent around the post and said it needed replaced. He responded with I am not sure we can do that but I will check. Of course had they waited and given me an order or got back with me and told me it wasn't possible, I would have gone with another company. The mailbox was just sitting centered on the post. There was no wood slab in the hollow of the bottom of the mailbox. My old post had a horizontal piece that came out of it as well as one that fit in the hollow portion of the bottom of the mailbox. In addition there was a diagonal piece of wood that supported the horizontal piece and made a triangle with the horizontal piece and the vertical post. The work they did had none of that. It was a vertical post that was short and a scuffed mailbox of a different color. The mailbox also looked slightly smaller but I could be wrong about that. When I went to go check it out the post wiggled in my hand. Previously the post was attached to the planter box. This did not seem to be the case. It was not sturdy at all. The planter box had only two new pieces replaced on the top and side. There were gaps between the New pieces and the old pieces. The one piece that they replaced on the right wiggled too and had movement. All my flowers were gone. They did not replace any dirt. There were cracks in the old planter box pieces and they weren't replaced. It was just all around awful. I don't even think the mailbox was as close to the road as it needed to be considering it was on top of the post instead of sticking out on a horizontal piece of wood like it was before. This business disgusts me with their practices. The games Mr. Wheeler played to avoid me and the games Mr. Duff played when I called to complain are shameful. Don't support this company!

One of your drivers ran me off the road without even so much as an apology. And the women in the office is a real piece of work an offered no simpathy or a solution to the issue. If someone ran you off the road, you'd be upset too.
Needed some excavation quoted and the work performed. They were very responsive, on time, and helped explain the technical details in a manner that made sense to all levels involved. The work took a little longer than expected due to continuous days of rain. But the work was done well and the finished job done correctly was what we needed.
What's the RUSH? Speeding gets you nowhere, but running red lights? That will.
