We are so very happy by the quality of service and professionalism Alexander Contracting provided. They removed our kitchen backsplash and installed a new one with precision and efficiency. The attention to detail with the difficulty in cutting the glass tiles we chose was executed with great skill. They set the standard for how all tradespeople should conduct their business We highly recommend Alexander Contracting.
Alexander Contracting did interior work on my house in Oberlin. They did not respond to my requests to fix plumbing problems that they could have easily remedied while they were doing the initial job. This cost me an extra $5000. Had to get all of the interior doors they installed reworked to fit properly. Some of their work was ok but their lack of response led me to work with another contractor, Norm Bevan, when it came to building a 2 car garage and a complete renovation of the exterior. Mr. Bevan's crew did a fantastic job at a very reasonable price and made sure everything was done to my liking. Alexander Contracting lost out on over $100,000. Not smart.

The Magicians of Home Repair: How Alexander Contracting Saved Our 30-Year-Old Home I don’t even know how to share the stellar experience I had with Alexander Contracting in a way that will remotely do them justice. Our residence was recently impacted by the crazy winter weather; due to the extreme cold and snow, we ended up with a massive ice dam. Our home is over thirty years old and has been very well-kept, but that changed when the ice storms hit. The inside of our home became an Ohio version of Niagara Falls, which had me getting rather impressive cardio running back and forth with pots, buckets, and towels in a vain attempt to catch a waterfall pouring into our living space. The ceiling cracked open, and the walls and baseboards throughout the house began splitting. It looked like "Pre-Armageddon." Once the mitigation crew finished drying everything out, we were left with holes everywhere; it basically resembled a crack house. I was admittedly freaked out, especially with vulnerable family members in the residence, and after watching enough Rob Wolchek, I was leery of who to trust. Then I found Alexander Contracting. Within minutes of meeting Paul, I calmed down instantly. He spent hours patiently answering my 20,000 questions and gave us honest advice before we even signed a contract. He had no "skin in the game" at that point; he was just helping us out as people new to this process. In the end, we went with Alexander Contracting, and it was the best decision ever. The two men who did the majority of the repairs, Sasha and Vasili, were INCREDIBLE. They never stopped working, it was like watching "Boxer" from Animal Farm. They were magicians with the repairs, finding perfect replacements for 30-year-old baseboards and matching paint colors beautifully. They even recreated our 30-year-old ceiling pattern PERFECTLY. Are they construction guys or artists? You be the judge. Beyond their skill, their respect for our home was unmatched. Sasha and Vasili kept their materials organized in the garage and cleaned their workspace so immaculately every single day that you’d never even know they were there. They went out of their way to ensure the process disturbed our daily lives as little as possible. When it came to the wallpaper, Paul and Fady took care of everything, finding stunning modern replacements that actually beautified our home more than the originals. Walking through the house now, you wouldn’t even know there was a ginormous leak. Thank you, Sasha and Vasili, for your perfection and the long hours you spent repairing our home. Thank you, Fady, for being so kind and reassuring, and finally, thank you to Paul—your honesty and willingness to talk to me even beyond working hours was such a pleasure. I hope we never deal with another disaster, but I am so thankful it led me to such a morally strong, honest, and ethical company. I’d give them ten stars if I could. I’m just so grateful to have found a team that treats your home as if it were their own.
I highly recommend Alexander Contracting for remodeling services in the Cleveland area. Their estimate was clear and easy to understand, with no hidden fees or surprises. The team was a pleasure to work with - always available to communicate and provide updates on the progress of our project. As out-of-state investors with a tight timeline, we were relieved to find a team that we could trust to start and finish the job as promised, without us needing to be on-site. Although we were initially surprised by the higher costs of remodeling in Cleveland compared to LA, we are grateful to have found Alexander Contracting. While their prices fall within the mid-range of contractors we considered, the quality of their work met our expectations and their project management was superb. We will definitely be reaching out to Alexander Contracting for future projects. Thank you to Vincent, Paul, and the entire team for a job well done!
There wasn’t an option for 0 STARS so the 1 star I had to give is very generous! Unfortunately, this was a very poor experience. The paint job was unacceptable and had to be redone twice. When it became clear it would need to need to be done a third time, we decided to part ways and let them go with unfinished work. The quality was extremely sloppy: uneven walls, rough patches, holes in the walls that were simply painted over, missed spots, and paint splattered all over window frames, light fixtures, and light switch plates some of which were ruined. It was clear they are not professional painters, despite claiming they can do everything. They often worked very late at night and in poor lighting, which was disruptive to our household and stressful for our animals. The job site was also very messy. When they believed the job was finished, they left a significant mess behind and did not properly clean up. What was most frustrating was the lack of accountability. They never apologized and instead told us that it “sounded like them” and that we were never going to be happy with their work. That response, combined with the poor workmanship, confirmed we made the right decision to stop the job. Overall, the work looked extremely unprofessional like it was done by a child. We would not recommend this contractor to anyone looking for quality or attention to detail.
