Seldom have I been so impressed with a service technician as I was with Jacob. What a nice guy. He helped us find an answer to what we thought was a really bad leak and he did it with patient, deductive reasoning. Very friendly and very knowledgeable. It was a pleasure!

I received a most reputable referral for Caliber Plumbing and I couldn’t be happier. When I called, leaving a msg for Cole, his response time was favorable. The primary issue was the in-line house water filter. I had closed the system to change both filters at the 6 month interval. Upon opening the in-flow side, the canister filled with orange, discolored liquid and heavy particulate matter. I knew I need professional advice. The secondary issue was the master bath toilet. The problem started right after the issue with the water filter. The bowl was not filling to an acceptable level and knowing I had the float at maximum height, there had to be an occlusion in-line which I couldn’t locate. Third concern was the kitchen faucet. It was no longer securely seated on the granite countertop. I was apprehensive about water potentially seeping under & into the cabinet below. Cole, and I discussed the list of problems at length. He picked Jacob to come out, having been his past mentor & was experienced with Filtration Systems. Ed, spoke with me shortly afterwards to inquire about my location, phone #, Email address & payment preferences. Jacob arrived the next day, precisely on time and got right to work. He started with the toilet and flushed out the water line between the wall shutoff valve & toilet. There was a lot of debris,similar to what was seen in the water filter. He came prepared, to exchange out the inner tank mechanisms. He replaced what he had with him, which rectified the situation immediately. He fastidiously cleaned and disinfected the outside of the toilet and surrounding floor. Huge Kudos too him. Jacob had the kitchen faucet re-secured in a flash. Between arthritis and needing a reverse shoulder replacement, he soundly showed up any attempt I might’ve made trying to maneuver myself under that sink. Lastly, the water filter. It was a beast of a problem; a doubleheader, logistically along with extraneous circumstances. Jacob had replaced the Fin filter on the inflow side and when opened, it refilled with even more debris. I tried to clean and possibly reuse it but it wasn’t feasible . While Jacob flushed the water system throughout the house, I drove to Cornelius, where Hillsboro Pipe is located. They are the friendliest folks in town. If you need something related to plumbing, it’s there & in stock. I’ve purchased from them for 10 years. I picked up two additional Fin filters and returned 36 minutes later. Two filters, one wasted, one functional, problem solved. This Review asked me to rate the price. It wasn’t cheap, but what is in our current politically tariffed economy. You also get what you pay for. Jacob was fast and fastidious at his job. I could see his wheels turning all the time, strategically honing in on the root cause. The plumbing in & for this house is not exactly straightforward, but Jacob drilled in down. Note* Jacob Budd is very respectful of you, your home, and your time. This job took 4 hours, two more than scheduled. Jacob, concerned he was going to be late to his next job, kept in contact with the office, so they in turn, kept the client updated. I want to thank that client for being flexible with their time, it helped relieve the anxiety in our situation. I know this review is long, I hope you stuck with me. I’m 72 yrs old. I enjoy and pride myself in being able to perform a variety of tasks most women wouldn’t think to undertake. However, it’s important to remember when the job is bigger than your “Tool Kit” of ability or knowledge. This job was both and I thank God and Cole’s father for the referral, getting to know the wonderful staff at Caliber Plumbing, and especially Jacob, the most delightful and worldly young man I have had the pleasure to meet and work with.
