HVAC Furnace AC Repair

My furnace quit on us during that cold snap last week. I called them in the morning and a tech was at the door before lunch. He pulled the panel off, showed me the cracked ignitor and a flame sensor that was basically caked over. He had the parts on the truck which was a relief. He also walked me through what the burners should look like vs what mine looked like, which was helpful since i had no clue what i was looking at. Blower came back on, house warmed up fast. Before he left he mentiond the humidifier on the side was disconnected and asked if i wanted it hooked back up while he was there. I said yes and he sorted it. Price was reasonable for an emergency call and the tech actually explained things instead of just handing me a bill.

our old furnace finally gave up in january which is the worst possible timing. called around to a few places and most couldnt even come out for a week. these guys had someone at the door the next afternoon. the tech took a look, was straight with me that the unit was done and patching it wasnt gonna last more than a few weeks. i appreciated that he didnt try to push the most expensive replacement option, he actually walked me through three different tiers and explained whyd choose what. we landed on a mid range model. install took most of a day, two guys, they put down those floor protectors everywhere which my dog kept trying to eat. they also adjusted the venting because something with the old setup wasnt quite right. heat has been steady since, no weird cycling like before
