⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fee and Jazz are exceptional front desk representatives at the Fort Pontchartrain Detroit! They are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We attended a fishing trip & two concerts in Detroit over the past three weeks, and after the warm welcome we received from Fee during our first stay, we knew we had to come back. We love the hotel's unique architecture, especially the rooms with their large angled windows that offer great views and plenty of natural light. From the breakfast staff (including the amazing omelet chef!) to the valet team, everyone has been outstanding. We also greatly appreciate the military/veteran discount they offer. Excellent service, a beautiful hotel, and a wonderful experience all around. We'll definitely be back! 🇺🇸❤️
First things first. No matter what job you have or role you play, it's important to first show up as a human being. When checking into the hotel I was greeted by the best front desk representative I've ever encountered- and I travel/stay at hotels quite often. Lisa was exceptional, thorough, kind, and you can tell that she really cared about people. The absolute best and reason I gave 5 stars. When I say thorough, she explained an overview of the hotel in one of the most remarkable ways that I immediately imagined each area through her eyes and passion. The lobby is beautiful. Room nice and clean but could use further updates. The entry doorway was too narrow and very close to the bathroom that I hurt my hand as the door didn't open as wide as normal and stopped abruptly. I couldn't help but wonder how a gurney, in case of an emergency, could pass through. Nonetheless, overall, a suitable hotel within walking distance from Huntington Place (directly across the street) and several restaurants nearby. Hope the rest of my stay is as GREAT as Lisa!! She deserves a raise or two!!

We had a really good experience at the hotel, especially during breakfast. Dallas, our server, was great. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was taken care of without us having to ask. You can tell he actually cares about the guests and the service he provides. The breakfast itself was also great. The food was fresh, well prepared, and there were plenty of good options. It made the whole stay feel more comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, great service and a great start to the day.
Loved our stay at the Fort Pontchartrain Hotel. Hotel is beautiful and Guest room is very comfortable and well equipped. Impressed with the cleanliness of pool, hot tub and sauna. They are very relaxing. Dallas puts together a fresh and delicious breakfast buffet and Star makes a wonderful omelette. Many other staff individuals made our stay one that we certainly recommend to travelers; specifically, Patrice in Urban Cellars, Eugene in valet parking, and Yomarl in housekeeping
Tommy check me and my coworker in and was phenomenal! we were very lucky and were able to check in early which was very nice! Tommy also suggested where we should go for lunch “Sugah please”. Which was a good suggestion. Overall very please with Tommy getting us checked in and for the food suggestion! Came down to lobby bar and Patrice was amazing! Patrice was very friendly, was very consistent checking in on us making sure we had drinks as we moved off to the couches. Drinks were great, service was great!
