The hotel is conviently located to walk to many sights and is right on the river so request a river view room. I was attending a conference at the Hyatt across the river and you had to walk across a bridge and up and down 3 flights of metal stairs, scary in the rain. The room was good sized, with a desk, comfortable reading chair with ottoman, large closet, coffee machine and mini fridge. It looked newly refurbished. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were to large and firm for my liking. The staff was friendly and helpful. You can walk to a Whole Foods and Riverwalk is right there, a big plus for summer visitors. You have to dial 80 to connect to front desk or room service. I would definitely stay here again due to proximity to sights, comfort and I felt safe during my stay. Note: you will be charged an extra $30 fee daily but will receive $15 of credit to use at the restaurants and bar.
Had a great visit at the Sheraton. Our room overlooked the river. It was very quiet on the floor and the bathroom has great amenities to use. I parked my car in the garage that’s attached to the hotel. The doormen are very nice and always greeted me and my dogs. The area is great and very walkable. I didn’t use my car the whole trip!

Great location on magnificent mile and right by the river. We enjoyed the lobby, view and daily breakfast.. the staff is nice. Highly recommend this Sheraton. If you are platinum elite or above, the manager will go extra mile to accommodate your requests.. I really felt the hospitality .. which is exactly opposite of what we experienced in NYC Sheraton.. lol ...
My husband and I recently visited Chicago and stayed at the Sheraton downtown, and once again we had such a wonderful experience. Every time we come to the city, we choose this hotel because of the consistently exceptional service — and especially because of Suzanne Spring in concierge. Suzanne is truly one of a kind. She always goes out of her way to make us feel welcomed and cared for, and her kindness and attention to detail are a big part of why we keep coming back year after year. During this visit, Suzanne recommended we have dinner at Shula’s Steakhouse in the hotel, and it was absolutely outstanding. The food was amazing, and what made the evening even more memorable was the incredible service. Kelly, our server, was attentive, friendly, and wonderful throughout the meal, and Mose also took such great care of us and made us feel genuinely appreciated as guests. Their breakfast buffet at Riverside Cafe in the hotel is also outstanding. David provides the most exceptional service. It’s the absolute best way to start our day when we’re vacationing in Chicago. It’s rare these days to encounter so many people who clearly take such pride in what they do. From the hotel stay to our breakfast and dinner experience, everyone made our trip feel special. We’re already looking forward to our next visit and would highly recommend both the Sheraton downtown Chicago, Riverside Cafe, and Shula’s Steakhouse to anyone looking for exceptional hospitality and a memorable experience in the city.
I had a great experience at the Sheraton Grand Riverwalk and stayed for six days. The location was excellent, and the service throughout my stay was outstanding. Everyone was friendly, accommodating, and made me feel welcome. After I checked out, I realized I had accidentally left a few items behind. Byron Jones, the first-shift Safety Supervisor, went above and beyond to locate my belongings and help arrange for them to be shipped back to my home. He was incredibly helpful, had a fantastic attitude, and made what could have been a stressful situation very easy. Excellent customer service like this is hard to find, and it really stood out. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. You are close to the center of the action, a lot of great restaurants & shopping close by.
