I’m new to Portland and I had to find somebody to service my 2018 Tacoma, which has always been well-maintained. The Internet search told me that these guys are reputable. I gave them a shot. Ed at the shop is the man. So kind, honest, trustworthy, timely, communicative. It’s hard to know who to trust in the automotive repair world. I knew what needed to be done on my truck and Ed Came back to me with exact analysis of what I expected. And the pricing was very fair. In and out in one day. Gotta love it.
Bought a used car and it ended up having trouble starting even after a new battery, figuring it was most likely the starter that need replaced, we brought our car into Steve’s for a basic check up. Ed was able to talk us through what he found and basic maintenance he recommended for the mileage. After he replaced our starter he told us he found an oil leak. Which he showed us pictures of where the leak was and what he thought needed repaired. We went forward with fixing the oil leak as well as getting a full detailed check up, and found the rear struts and water pump were leaking. A few days in the shop, she good as new! I really appreciated the amount of communication with the shop and how quickly they were able to get our car back up in tip top shape! Thanks again Emily & Charlie

I have been going to this Christian owned automotive shop for 40 years. You won't find a more honest and integrity filled staff as this one. It is a clean, woman owned and managed business. I have recommended Steve's automotive to all of my friends and people that otherwise I have had the opportunity to share this business with. Their senior mechanic is Master Mechanic certified. This requires much additional education and time in the business. Drop by and check them out!
We had a couple of long standing issues with our Jeep GC. Over 5 years, 2 dealer visits and 3 visits to a well recognized independent shop. And $$$$$$. Still issues. Steve's was recommended to us bc that's where Enterprise takes their rental cars for service. Yep you guessed it fix it, first time, granted they had to do some Sherlocking, but they didn't join the pay me but we"tried" what is it that Yoda says... ? Don't try, Do. Anyway best shop in Portland. And nice folks to boot!
Stephanie and her husband were incredibly efficient, clear and friendly. No wasted time, but they talked to you like an intelligent person with patience.
