We stayed in the Christmas story house one night and the Bumpus house.The second night. Both were very comfortable. Since they're right next door to each other, it's very easy to get from one to the other.You can still enjoy the night christmas lights on the christmas story house from the bumpus house. They have a really good Rowley inn for drinks and food , right across the street
Stayed a night in the Bumpus House and it was so fun. I love that it's smack dab in the middle of a Cleveland hood. And it seems like the houses around the xmas story house embraces the nostalgia too! I think I overlooked the check-in procedure so just as an FYI, if you're NOT to the house by 4:30/4:45, you will need to fill out terms and conditions they send you by email because they close. I called the emergency number because I hadn't checked my email, and they told me what to do. We were inside within minutes of me sending back the form. Everything was stocked to the max and clean EXCEPT for shampoo/conditioner/shower wash. There was none but we took a quick 5 minute drive to the Wal-Mart; problem solved. The tour of the Xmas story house/museum is highly highly recommended for anyone that's a fan of the movie. I feel like this was a one and done thing for my family, but it was fantastic, fun and worth every cent!!

Was looking for a unique place in Cleveland to stay with my family. This fit the bill. Comfortable and quiet. Reliving some childhood nostalgia while here. Check in at the gift shop and get a code to your door. Prices vary depending on which room/living area you choose. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
Such a cute place, there were some quirky plumbing issues as if not done by a professional but we got it worked out. The place was VERY CLEAN and comfortable. There is an oddly placed unframed paper cat portrait in the bathroom... not sure that would live long in the Bumpus House but... there have been such cohabitations before. Just very out of place in size, placement and quality so it gave us pause. We definitely took advantage of the game and puzzle there.
We absolutely loved our visit !! We stayed on the main floor. The room was decorated perfectly for the time period. We laughed that the Bumpus house had tons of pictures of the Parker family and not the Bumpuses but that was the only flaw we could find. We talk about the great memories of our stay and we hope to go back. It's worth it to stay!!
