Dang, talk about an upgrade! We visited during the renovations but had not had a chance to return until recently for the full experience. The new galleries are full of light and air, and there is an atmosphere of modern science and learning instead of the old haunted dead animals vibe. There’s still plenty of dead (and alive) animals - they just are now presented in much more respectful and informative ways. Definitely something for visitors of all ages, and arranged in a way that you could spend the whole day or come back repeatedly to see a bit at a time.
A great museum with lots of cool dinosaurs & huge variety of taxidermy animals. Super informative with lots of interactive educational displays- fantastic for children. A wonderful way for the family to spend time together discovering new things & learning about the world we live in. Parking is easy, wonderful restrooms, & you can even grab lunch there! Upstairs is a fantastic art exhibit as well. The gift shop is awesome, but I found the prices to be quite ridiculous- typical for these places though. Took us approximately 3 hrs to view everything, but could easily be a 5hr trip if you truly immerse yourself..

I wanted to share a really positive review of the Cleveland Museum Of Natural History. First of all, according to the news and social media, our museum was recently voted on of the best in the country. I wholeheartedly agree and with this review, I wanted to enclose some pictures of what one of the new sections looks like. The pics that I have enclosed with this review are ones of the Ames Family Curiosity Center, located inside the museum. This section of the museum is really great and has a lot of history to look at on display. There are also digital displays located inside the exhibit that are pictured here- that show a great deal of history if you look at the photos closely. I want to commend the staff and the sponsors for our museum here, not only for the massive renovations which are complete and look fantastic with the new sections, but for also doing such great work at this venue. Also, thank you to the sponsors who made the renovations possible and made our museum one of the absolute best. I highly recommend that everyone see what the Cleveland Museum Of Natural History is about- you will not regret it and it is definitely worth the ticket price at the door.
What a great experience!! We came from three hours away and it was worth it. So many wonderful exhibits and experiences. I do wish the gift shop had more souvenir options though, but still a wonderful experience!! Highly recommend for all ages.
Complete spur-of-the-moment decision to go to the Cleveland History Museum, LOVED it! Wish I could have spent even more time, but I crammed a lot into 4 hours I was there! I saw all 3 additional movies, which were great, especially the one on Fungi. Additional charge of $7.00 for all 3 movies. Went to the cool planetarium show too!! It was also additional $7.00. All worth it! If you purchase your admission ticket on line, you can save a couple dollars. I loved the outdoor area with all of the living animals! All of it reinforced beautiful , miraculous life! I haven't been to the History Museum in YEARS! It was so fun! The parking was convenient, attached parking garage, but pricey. They have a gift shop and cafeteria with a variety of foods. If you are the type of person who wants to see and read everything without rushing, you could spend entire day there! I really need to go back and take my time. Highly recommend!
