Dr. Perry, at Piedmont hospital near Atlantic Station, is the medical provider to see. He is extremely professional, but very personal as well. He listens to his patients, and explains clearly where you are medically. I am a new patient, who has seen many other doctors. I highly recommend Dr. Perry to those in need of a medical doctor. Dr Perry is absolutely the best. My only issue is with Piedmont! It seems they never have the equipment they need to take care of the patients leaving us with longer wait times. Only 1 EKG machine working and that is not enough for an office! Why do they not have more and up to date equipment. It seems Piedmont is focusing more on getting executives in their posh offices and settings rather than taking care of the hard working staff on the front lines! I see they have moved corporate into the building in Atlantic station. How about putting some of that money into the offices and getting them up to date?

Fumbled my prior authorization—TWICE—then refused to appeal their own mistakes. I initially had a positive experience here, but after trying to get a prescription, I can’t recommend them. Dr. Perry prescribed a medication and then his staff botched the prior authorization twice—first by incorrectly claiming I’d already been on it (leading insurance to deny it), and then by responding to a request for further documentation with zero documentation. After two denials, my insurance begins an appeals process. Dr. Perry said my insurance wouldn’t cover the medication, and yet I confirmed with my insurance multiple times that it could be covered with the correct paperwork. Did they just not want to bother going through the process? Then Dr. Perry declined to appeal despite the office’s incompetence being the reason why I needed to in the first place. This also sets me up for failure because now another provider cannot prescribe me the medication without an immediate denial. Now I will be scrutinized for trying to get medication that was denied twice due to shoddy paperwork. Advocating for my health should not have been this hard nor should a patient be dismissed for requesting the treatment prescribed. If you need a provider who is invested in their patient’s care, look elsewhere.
My wife made my first appointment with Dr Perry. At the time I was a smoker. Dr Perry immediately started telling me his experience which put me at ease. I tryed quiting once more with his help. He told me how I was going to feel and how it feels to get through. I have been smoke free for 3 years so far .Also I've seen other physicians for yearly check ups. Through his advice. I feel secure that my health is in good hands. He uses the test that he recommends to help guide the patient. In todays time thats very unique. It's not all about how much the job pays. Helping others. Well done Dr Perry.
Dr. Perry is one of the best primary doctors there is. He takes time to talk, listen, insures you understand and just so friendly and kind. Dr. Perry and his team are just simply the best.
