I’m specifically complimenting the nighttime hotel desk attendant, Lee. He handled a fairly unpleasant and unreasonable version of me upon our late arrival. Despite both me being WRONG, and him having no control of the situation, he was professional and friendly with the entire exchange. Though I came back and apologized, his demeanor warrants a written compliment… an extremely pleasant person!
Some of the rudest receptionists I have ever encountered, your job is to answer the phone and you answer like you don’t wanna be bothered. I reported this to the GM and suddenly 1.5 weeks later, my reservation was canceled by an unknown source. It’s a good thing I got all my third-party points back so jokes on you. There are so many better places to stay. Try the joinery hotel.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Stay at the Hilton Pittsburgh! Our stay at the Hilton in Pittsburgh was absolutely wonderful, but the true highlight of our visit was Zuhra. From the moment we interacted with her, she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Zuhra’s kindness and attention to detail truly stood out. At one point she even noticed our cups were empty and graciously took them to refill them with ice for us—such a small gesture, but it made a big impression. It’s rare to see someone so genuinely thoughtful and dedicated to making guests feel comfortable. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and in a great location, but employees like Zuhra are what truly make a stay memorable. Her warm personality and willingness to help made our experience exceptional. Hilton is lucky to have someone like her on their team! We will absolutely be back and hope to see her again on our next visit. 💙
I do not generally like to leave negative reviews because I believe everyone is entitled to a bad day every once in a while. However, this goes well beyond a “bad day” scenario. When I went to bed at this hotel two nights ago, I just hopped into bed without inspecting it. When I got up in the middle of the night to use the restroom, I turned a light on and the sheets were pulled back enough for me to see blood on the sheets right around the middle section of my torso area. I have NO wounds and went through menopause many years ago. Since we had a long drive home the next day, I chose not to call down to the front desk to have our room changed. I knew that I was not going to be able to sleep even if we moved to a new room and I wanted my husband to get a good night’s sleep so he’d be rested enough to make the long drive home. In the morning the supervisor was managing the front desk and I explained the incident to her. She apologized and offered to provide free parking. She did not appear to be alarmed by this situation. I told her that and she then offered me points. I told her I did not care about getting points and that this was an extremely revolting experience. She said she would give me 50% off our night’s stay. I really don’t think she gets it. I had been sleeping on top of a stranger’s bodily fluids. As we’re driving home, I get an email (it’s mid-afternoon now) that the full cost of the room has been charged to my credit card. I immediately called the hotel to speak to a supervisor and am told there are none at the hotel and there won’t be any management there until the next morning. I asked to be called back. The next morning, that same supervisor called me back and said she could not reimburse me because I had booked through a third party. She had my phone number and she chose not to call me to explain this but rather chose to go back on her word and bill me the full amount without any explanation. I informed her I always book directly through the hotel and she asked me for my confirmation number. She then checked and said that I was correct and that I would be reimbursed 50% for the room. We’ll see. I’m not holding my breath. Believe me, I would have much preferred to pay the full amount (or more) and not have gone through this experience. As a Hilton Honors member, I have never had a bad experience before. I will never again get into a bed at a hotel without pulling the sheets down and inspecting them first.
The location was excellent. However, the walls are thin. We could hear the room across the hall and next to us. The cooling/heating unit in the living room area of our king suite was very noisy. Parking garage under the hotel is good but has multiple steps reserved for other businesses in the building. You need to make sure to give your parking ticket at check in as they will add it to your room. You need to place the parking tag the check in rep gives you in your car so you just scan and when you want to leave.
