Fantastic first visit from start to finish! I had the pleasure of going her for a 6 month cleaning as a new patient recently. What I thought would be a one hr visit turned into 3 hrs due to needing more dental work! Upon arrival I was warmly greeted by Jessica the receptionist. The office space was warm and inviting. Music added to a relaxed atmosphere both while waiting and in exam room. Jessica explained the smilecare program which helped offset the office visit cost easily as well as any other needed work for a year. Shemeka was great for X-rays and made sure any questions were answered prior to work starting. I appreciated that my dental hygienist Camille had a great sense of humor to put my nerves at ease to prep for anesthesia for fillings which I didn’t know where needed till that day. Dr. O made the office visit pain free and pleasant. Her personality was very calming and being that I was there for 3 hrs I considered that a huge plus! The staff made me feel like I had a patient for years instead of a newbie. I have definitely found my new dental home. I appreciate knowing I can entrust this office with my dental care and leave with a smile for years to come. Continue to keep up the awesome work there!

This dental office is a surprise gem, especially compared to the one I left behind. They are clean and efficient, get you in and out, and everything is clear and straightforward. I appreciate how the hygienist and dentist ask about comfort and let you know what to do if you need a break during a procedure. I only had one small problem. When I had my exam, they informed me that I do not have periodontal disease, which my previous dentist had diagnosed and treated me for with significant out of pocket expenses (I had left that dentist because the entire medical facility they worked in was horrible in terms of care and customer service). I spoke with a lawyer about writing the previous dentist a letter with the new information and requesting a refund of out of pocket expenses, but I needed my medical records from Grant Park Dental to support the letter. When I initially asked for them, the office manager gave me a hard time about giving me everything I needed. I had to call their parent company and complain about the refusal being HIPPA non-compliant. After that phone call, I was able to get the record I needed to support my letter and ultimately was refunded about $700 dollars from my previous dentist. I am glad it was straightened out and that I can continue to visit this office. The quality of care is good, and one person’s behavior doesn’t poorly reflect on the rest of the practice. However, it did cost them a star in this review. I have to advocate a lot for my daughter with healthcare providers because she is medically complex; I know my rights. So, the way that office manager handled my request and refused to answer my question, “Is that HIPPA compliant?” was really frustrating, especially given I had no problem with her office and actually appreciated that I had gotten an accurate diagnosis and had evidence to support the return of my expenses. I have another visit scheduled, and was thrilled at the one just completed, so I’ll end on that note.
