Aspen Dental - Cincinnati, OH - Western Hills

I had my first appointment here and the staff was exceptionally nice and amazing! The lady who did my x-ray was absolutely amazing and so nice! The office manager was extremely helpful and great to work with, she was extremely professional and helpful with scheduling out my appointments. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because of the dentist, while I appreciate his knowledge and professionalism he was extremely dry and not personable whatsoever, said hello to him when he walked in the room and he totally was dismissive of me and walked straight to the screen without even acknowledging me. Maybe he was having a busy day but I work in a busy obgyn office and as a medical professional myself I feel it's very important to be compassionate with patients. Hopefully the next visit will be better, other than that I definitely recommend this place due to the exceptionally nice staff and their ability to work with new patients 😀

Several days after a significant car accident, I began having significant pain in my tooth. Thinking it was abscessed, I made an emergency appointment to Aspen Dental. Arriving at Aspen dental I explained the situation and how the extreme pain kept me awake all night. Instead treating my condition, they were more interested in taking the 36 X-rays of my month, which was painful due to my toothache. After X-ray, they insisted on doing a 3D photo of my teeth, another painful procedure given my condition. When I finally got to see the Dentist, he wanted to immediately pull the tooth. When I ask him if the tooth was decayed or abscessed, he said no it may be cracked. When I asked to see it on the X-ray he informed me that it couldn't be seen or confirmed. I informed him that before I have it pulled, I want a second opinion, so he said we are done and I left. After taking some ibuprofen my pain started to subside. The following day the pain was gone, I believe the accident must have loosened the tooth. When I call Aspen to see if my regular cleaning was still scheduled for later that month, they said no, because I didn't allow the technician to clean my teeth while there. Can you imagine someone trying to clean your teeth when you are experiencing an extreme toothache? Bottom Line--Aspen Dental seemed like a clinic, staffed with foreign doctors who cared more about what they can quickly bill the insurance company than they care about long-term patient health. Thank God I mustered the strength through the pain to ask questions. I still have my tooth with no complications, besides looking for a new dentist!
