This is very nice property. Sadly , they were out of their signature cookies... that was a bummer! It's in a part of town with a significant homeless population adjacent. When I checked in , there was one aggressive homeless person in the lobby that wouldn't go away as the front test person had requested. Welcome to Portland! Put the room was terrific.The location was pretty good. The person front desk was awesome.
This was not our first stay at Doubletree, we like to stay here because the rooms are clean and most of the time, we can get a pretty good deal. We have stayed here many times in the past but Sabrina at the front desk, who checked us in, made our experience that much greater. Sabrina was professional, showed true concern and genuine compassion for our needs and empathized with us for the lack of hotel amenities offered for the evening, even though we knew we were checking in so late, close to midnight, so there was a great probability of sparse amenities. . Sabrina was very friendly and got us checked in quickly and easily, wearing a smile on her face the entire time! Amazing customer service, will definitely recommend that friends and family book a stay here! Also recommend that Sabrina get a bonus and a raise!

I didn't know there was such a thing as a hotel where you had to request a mini fridge or a microwave. Doesn't have a hot tub and the entire week we were there the Halls on the main floor and all the way up of the tower were very hot throughout the day. The food supply during events was very basic like Continental Motel Style. Other than that the rest of the hotel was nice and the service was nice. Clean and lots of food available for purchase always staff on hand lots of conference rooms.
Frustrated, because the staff have been absolutely amazing, and the room we had was spacious and a nice view. However.. upon entering our room, we used the restroom and the toilet broke. Called someone to fix it, it happened very quickly and the man was very kind. Went to unpack our suitcases and found a vape and joint in one of the drawers. Made us pretty nervous that the rest of the room (beds) hadn’t been cleaned properly. Also the only hotel I’ve ever been to that didn’t have some kind of mini fridge to hold leftovers/refrigerated medication that I was stressed to figure out. After coming back from exploring the town, the toilet broke again. We decided to order from the restaurant, and they ended up overcharging us $20+ for our food. Food was also dry (shrimp), missing the sauces (pomegranate for the steak), and didn’t include the ingredients that were listed (no risotto). They did end up comping our meal which was very kind of them to do. We are so grateful to the kind staff who were able to help us with our issues, and if it had only been one issue we would not have complained. But, to spend $130 for one night, $75 for our dog, $32 for parking, aka $200+ for one night at a hotel, this was way too much trouble.
The queen bed room is very small. Some of the bar staff couldn't care less for the customers, somehow busy ordering their space around. Room service is a hit and miss, taking used towels but not replacing all. The breakfast area is nice, gets super busy but the staff there is nice and very efficient.
