I hired Craig Raymond as my attorney for a custody issue. Good guy, easy to work with, and the immediate outcome of my issue was favorable. However, this firm does not stop hounding you to "refill your trust account" and I feel they take up time doing trivial and uneccessary things to drain your account. One week I had over $1.3k in my trust, they called and asked for more money. I told them no. Then, a few emails and less than a week later, I was suddenly down to -$33. I immediately fired them. I get it, all companies are capitalist. However, if I have to run in this godforsaken hamster wheel and pay "big boy" bucks, I expect to get "big boy" service. "Little boy" mistakes were made that could have cost me the custody of my daughter. For example, the wrong address was filed with the court. Due to this, my child support paperwork was never sent to me, which made me behind on payments. I never felt like Craig was not on my side, but I definitely felt like he was on my side strictly for the cash and not because he felt that I had been wronged. I probably woudn't feel this way if they had handled the financial situation with a bit more grace. You may win your case, but it's gonna burn a hole in your pocket with these guys.

In my opinion, it was only when the threat of judicial and professional accountability became real that they sought to settle—fast. Let me be clear: this is my opinion based on direct experience. I believe they prioritize billable hours over resolution, create confusion rather than clarity, and escalate tension rather than pursue peace—at the emotional and financial expense of families and children. No one should be financially incentivized to keep families fighting. If you believe in fairness, integrity, and family-first lawyering, I recommend speaking directly with your spouse before calling firms like this. Invest in healing—not hostility. Protect your peace.
