I'm not sure why Google wants a review of this. I was here on January 1st to jump in the river. So as rivers go I mean it was cold, it was wet, it was a river. It was easy to get into, one big jump, but kind of a pain to crawl out of while being very very cold. I definitely have deduct the star for the difficulty in getting out. I really should deduct a star to for the general muddiness and darkness of the water. I definitely recommend a shower after jumping in the river. Not much traffic getting in, but kind of a hassle getting out. I really feel like I would need to visit it again in warmer weather to give it a fair review.
Great view. However. The homeless situation by the underpass as a runner made me feel extremely unsafe (when I went there were several organized camps of 10+ people). Highly would recommend sharing your route and/or going with friend(s) if you’re interested in taking this route.

Nice fishing spot
The Mon Wharf Switchback is the latest link in the Great Allegheny Passage to provide a non-motorized route between Grant Street and Point State Park.
Great place to park when it is not covered in 7 feet of Monongahela crust water.
