Had a wonderful experience. The service is very good and the food is fantastic. We ordered kangaroo meat for some appetizer, rabbit meat and duck breast for the entree. The rabbit meat was a little bit dry but the flavor layers are made unique. The duck breast was cooked very tender without any ducky smell. The desserts were delicious, and they even lit candles and wrote some words on them, which looked very nice. The scenery is exceptionally beautiful, like a hidden paradise by the river.
This place is really good in terms of vibes and service. It had a great staffs, all responsible and helpful, plenty of inside and outside spaces for eating, drinking, chilling and celebrating. We had dinner that was good but not satisfied. We ordered Slow Braised Rabbit, which was good, Roasted Springer Mountain Chicken, which we did not like it, Australian Lamb Top Sirloin, not good at all. For the appetizer, we had House Smoked Salmon, which I highly recommend to try it.

Came here with my fiance for dinner and had an excellent time! The service, ambiance, and food were all amazing! Our server Jacob was so kind and offered great recommendations and was also extremely knowledgeable on the menu. For starters, we split the onion soup (which they automatically portioned into two bowls for us that was so nice!) and kangaroo. Both were great but would highly recommend trying kangaroo. For our entrees we had the rabbit and lamb (lamb was recommended by Jacob) which were both great as well. Even though we were full had to try one of their desserts which was semifreddo it was very light and the perfect end to our meal! We will definitely be coming back soon to try their other dishes :)
My husband and I went to Canoe for my birthday. I will say I was not a fan of the salad we picked (pear and baby kale), but the rest of the food was delicious. The bread service was very nice, but I am not sure I love having to pick from a large tray as opposed to it just being served together at the table. The star for me was the 12 oz new york strip and I would also implore that everyone try the popcorn sundae. If you like popcorn and ice cream...it was unreal. The restaurant is honestly pretty unassuming from the face of the building but has a cute little area in the back overlooking the river. I would definitely try to sit outside and would recommend for a special evening.
Canoe exceeded every expectation and is easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. From the moment we arrived, we understood why this restaurant is consistently regarded as one of Atlanta’s finest. My biggest recommendation is to arrive early and spend time in the Adirondack chairs overlooking the Chattahoochee River before your reservation. The peaceful riverside setting is absolutely beautiful and sets the tone for a memorable evening. Our waitress, Victoria, was exceptional. Canoe’s menu is creative and unlike anything you’ll find at most restaurants, and Victoria took the time to answer all of our questions, explain the ingredients and preparation of each dish, and make thoughtful recommendations. Her knowledge, patience, and genuine enthusiasm made us feel comfortable trying several dishes we otherwise would have passed over. She truly elevated the entire dining experience! Every course was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The Compressed Yellow and Red Watermelon Salad was light and refreshing, with honey-whipped goat cheese, blueberry-lavender vinaigrette, peppery arugula, and crisp fennel creating a perfect balance of sweet and savory. The Creamy Vidalia Onion Soup was rich, velvety, and full of flavor, topped with smoked maitake mushrooms, basil pesto crème fraîche, and sourdough croutons that added wonderful texture. One of the biggest surprises of the evening was the Peppercorn Crusted Kangaroo Loin. If you’ve never tried kangaroo, don’t let that stop you! It was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the soba noodle salad, grilled trumpet mushrooms, hop-smoked cream, and seaweed tapenade complemented it perfectly. It ended up being one of the favorite dishes of the night! The entrées were just as impressive. The Maple Brined Duck Breast was cooked perfectly and paired beautifully with the jerked duck leg, forbidden rice, bok choy, banana rum jam, and blackberry vinaigrette. The Double Stuffed Mushroom & Herbed Ricotta Ravioli was delicate yet rich, with earthy mushrooms and chanterelle butter creating an incredible depth of flavor. Even the Duck N’ Beef Burger was far from ordinary, topped with a sunny-side egg, pickled red onion, and served with perfectly seasoned herbed truffle fries. We couldn’t leave without trying the desserts. The famous Popcorn Ice Cream Sundae absolutely deserves the praise it receives. The combination of creamy ice cream, Chantilly, and Canoe’s signature Peanut Cracker Jack was nostalgic, fun, and unlike any dessert we’ve had before. We also enjoyed Canoe’s Daily Sorbet, which was fresh, vibrant, and a refreshing finish to an outstanding meal. From the breathtaking riverside setting to the impeccable service and exceptional cuisine, Canoe delivers an experience that is truly special. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and memorable. Victoria’s outstanding service made an already amazing evening even better. I can’t recommend Canoe highly enough!
