I first remember coming here in 1980, when I was a kid. I've been back many times since and I always enjoy dining here. The main dining room is stunning, but the dining room with the city view is nice too. I've never had a bad meal here and the service is always first rate. You definitely can't go wrong. If you like railroads, you can't beat the decor.
Beautiful and historic dining room! Not a lot of great vegetarian entrees, but my husband loved his Halibut. My tableside manhattan was great both in taste and presentation! We will ho back to try their Sunday Brunch.
My husband and I went to the Grand Concourse for Valentine’s Day and could not have been more happy with our meal and server! Understandably, it was a busy holiday, so we waited at the bar for an extra 30 minutes past our scheduled reservation. During that time I had a delicious espresso martini and my husband had a beer. Once we were seated our server took excellent care of us and ensured we got our food quickly given our extra wait. We had the raw oysters, Cajun chicken tortellini, and the slow roasted prime rib. All of our food was DELICIOUS and we felt so full with the portion sizes that we had to take home leftovers. Not to mention the nostalgic environment of the old train station! So beautiful. While a bit pricy, I would say it is worth the price you pay. Overall, we had a great experience at the Grand Concourse, and would go back.

We came here for my best friends 21st birthday and it was amazing. The dining room and restaurant were beautiful. We came on a Sunday night, we were the last ones in the restaurant and there was no rush or push to get us out. Our server was Jesse and he was great! My table laughed at me for asking so many questions but he answered every single one of them! He was funny and wasn’t quick to walk away from us and our table. He even brought out this absolutely amazing bread for us. I can’t believe I didn’t take more pictures, but the food was so good I wasn’t even thinking of taking pictures. My husband got the special and it was a steak with this AMAZING blue cheese topping and I just can’t stop thinking about it. The only downside of this place is they don’t use real espresso in their espresso martinis. It was really throwing me for a loop, but that’s just me being picky. If I wasn’t from a different state I would be here next month for my wedding anniversary. (I’m seriously considering the 3.5hr drive just for that steak). Jesse was a great server and I hope he sees this because I told him I would write this review a week ago!!! I wish I had more pictures!!
Sunday brunch was amazing and the food and atmosphere were incredible. Our family went today to celebrate my nephew’s graduation from Pitt and it did not disappoint. The level of quality and variety of food offered was top notch. I especially liked the prime rib and smoked salmon. The building and history also added a lot to the overall experience. The server was amazing and made everyone feel special. I highly recommend this place.
