My family and I love walking along the canal and feeding the ducks and fish. Just be very careful walking there at night. Parking was $9 for 3 hours. There is other parking along the canal. So I would plan ahead.
We came to the gardens right after the tulips finished blooming and before the summer annuals were planted on the weekend before Mother's Day. It was great to see really flowers like columbine, a few irises and rock roses, and more. And the structure of the garden is beautiful. We also loved the whimsy, like the dancing turtles. There are lots of mobility aids for rent, from wheelchairs to strollers and more. There's accessable parking, and its easy to get around in a wheelchair.
Beautiful outdoor gardens had some animal interactions. We played a fun game with them a macaw. The indoor tropical gardens were pretty neat. Huge variety of plants. But the hundreds of butterflies stole the show. Very beautiful

It's like an oasis in an urban jungle. Beautifully laid out garden with the Indianapolis skyline as a backdrop. I enjoyed the fall displays and plan to return for Christmas.
Beautiful place fun to walk thru. Well definitely return and bring my son to see!!
