Aghhh the front desk girl I believe Janelle was so so sweet. Check-in was great. We are both from LA but still made effort to recommend places to take my out of town family! That’s where the positives end. No mini bar, no water, no robes aside from requested and then robes take 4 robot visits before we actually receive them. No food after 7pm on the property without needing to go to Tao. Tao is fine but not always the vibe you are looking for. Rooms are pretty basic although are fine. Bed quality is a little rough with the feeling of springs coming through. But it’s fine for a night or 2 and are of a larger size. The guy later laughed at me for asking about water in the room? I feel like they used to do this in the past and could be wrong but I’ve never been to a hotel that doesn’t have water in room?
The room was modern and clean. The lobby was sheek. The rooftop pool and bar was nice. Great views. Very close to the heart of Hollywood. Overpriced valet parking, but it's typical for the area. I found significantly cheaper several blocks away for the one night I was here.

As a loyal Hyatt guest, I chose the Hyatt Dream Hollywood for its unbeatable location and the promise of a vibrant, well-designed experience. The hotel absolutely shines in terms of atmosphere. The lobby is stylish and welcoming, the rooms are charming, and the rooftop bar and pool are clearly intended to be standout amenities. From a design and concept standpoint, it’s a beautiful property. That said, after a two-night stay, the experience didn’t fully align with expectations for a Hyatt at this price point. While the rooftop hours are noted on the website, the space was closed early both days due to private events, which eliminated access to the pool, rooftop dining, or even a casual drink. Since there are no alternative food or beverage options within the hotel during those times, a core amenity was effectively unavailable for our stay. The room itself was comfortable but quite small, with an awkward layout and visible wear that felt inconsistent with the overall brand promise and nightly rate. This property works well if location is your primary driver, and the design is undeniably appealing. However, I would recommend future guests confirm rooftop availability in advance and set expectations accordingly. With more consistent access to its amenities and some attention to room condition, this could be a truly strong Hyatt experience
Definitely the type of hotel that you come to HOLLYWOOD for... it has the vibe and ambiance you would come to expect in the land of movies, celebs, and the Mega-Star Lifestyle. Their service and people are always top notch. Definitely an experience everyone should have at least once in their life.
We are thrilled that we found this place so close to our event. The service was amazing from the time we called requesting early check-in, valeting our vehicles, checking in, working out personal needs with concierge services, rooftop dining, and every personal interaction. The rooms were clean and accommodating. I'm disappointed with myself that I did not take any photos to share, but the photos online are spot on.
