West Houston did great job..had check engine light on issue diagnose transmission sensor..major job.. Eric and Gene did excellent job explain detail of test great communication throughout the time of the job.. did a great job reviewing the rest of vechile for any repairs needed. added to service rear brakes too. Thank you for all help during this visit. Jeff
My truck holds a lot of sentimental value and as such, I expect anybody that I pay to fix it does a good job, which is exactly what West Houston auto repair did for me. I spent the summer of 2025 in pure heat because my AC compressor and condenser went out on me and unfortunately left me sweltering in the summer heat because I knew it would be expensive no matter what. Well, when I finally took my vehicle up there, they assessed it. Tell me the damages gave me a fair price and took care of the problem the same day. Playing in simple they rock and will forever be my choice as the caretakers of my truck.

Doesn’t deserve 1 star, extremely dissatisfied with the service! I had a simple request to fix A/C, was assured twice it would be same day because that was extremely important to me. They contacted my max care to make a claim, was approved and paid same day of $2900+. Then, had the audacity to tell me to pay another $1k for AIR CONDITIONING along with an engine mount I didn’t know I needed & backup camera malfunction.. I contacted max care to get a break down of cost which again didn’t match up with the breakdown they gave me. They added an engine mount which I didn’t request over $300 plus tailgate actuator that I inquired about to put on the same claim. They quoted extremely high prices for each part even the max care rep said is way off from the average that they approved it for but according to Houston Auto they only use “OEM” parts. Yea, $735 for a compressor is robbery along with the other prices of everything else. Fast forward, my car was given back to me the NEXT day, lied about when I would get it couldn’t get my daughter from school…. Didn’t even get me a loner car, my camera was STILL MALFUNCTIONING!!! Set me up a service appointment at Mercedes because apparently they were the only ones who could fix it YET, they got paid to fix it! Tried to drop me off at home I refused and made sure I went there to hear what they were saying the issue was. Before I say my experience there, I also would like to add the brand new AC compressor they claimed they put in was not blowing freezing cold. It was cool but definitely didn’t feel like new at all. My tire & rim was also damaged which they CONFIRMED THERE WAS NO DAMAGE PRIOR TO ME DROPPING IT OFF. Fast forward to Mercedes appointment..Talked to a nice gentleman at Mercedes names James who was extremely helpful. Stated that his guys said the parts were mix matched and it could be the reason, or update maybe needed. Once updated, was told it’s still doing the same thing. So something they did was completely wrong and caused more damages. Mercedes kindly loaned me a car while they did further diagnosis, was told they rejected Mercedes doing it the correct way and wanted me to come back again to let them fix it! NO WAY! The next day, dropped off my loner & Mercedes had fixed it anyway THANK GOD! So, I go back there to let them know that THEY actually finished the job. I asked if they could check me levels to make sure this is the coldest the AC will blow and he told me to come back Monday. MIND BLOWN! So I would give this place a 0/10. They jack up prices, give you faulty parts, and do NOT service your vehicles correctly! I will never be taking my car back there. I will not be returning Monday or any other day.
My first experience here was great, I had a major $600 repair done, and they did an excellent job. Because of that, I came back for a routine oil change (about $100). I had a cabin filter in my trunk and simply asked if they could install it while they were already servicing my car. They came back and told me it would be a $40 charge. I was genuinely surprised. At that point, it became clear that customer loyalty doesn’t mean much to this business, so I chose to leave without completing the oil change. I took my vehicle to the auto shop I previously used, and they swapped the filter without hesitation or extra charge. Unfortunately, this experience cost them my business. I won’t be returning.
I came in because my engine light was on and had received a diagnosis prior to coming here. They were honest and showed me other existing problems. I was given the choice what I could handle at the time and I left very happy. I was given an Uber ride home and was sent Uber when they finished with my car. Today, I had something going on with my headlight and tail light and they took care of me. I am reminded of family. Bring your car and let them show you what they see and then make your decision . I never had anyone allow me to see my problem, except my grandpa when he was teaching me about cars.
