Legacy Roofing Services

We had a roof leak directly above one of our largest machines at ICS, where we manufacture compressed cellulose sponge. Since our product expands when it gets wet, water dripping from the ceiling meant we had to completely stop production. Not ideal when you are staring at a ship date on the calendar. I called Legacy Roofing that evening and explained the urgency. The next morning, Daryl personally called to confirm techs would be there between 8:00 and 8:30 and shifted their schedule to meet our needs. I later found out he was home sick with the flu and still making sure we were taken care of. That says a lot. Will and Bubba showed up early at 7:50, smiling and happy before 8 AM, which honestly deserves recognition all by itself. I joked they looked like a couple of famous people standing by the van, but in all seriousness, they were all business once they got inside. They were on the roof immediately, fixed the issue fast, and were out by 8:30. By 8:45, production was back up and running. Professional. Prompt. Efficient. Zero drama. Legacy Roofing does not have competition. They set the standard. And if their boss is reading this, these guys deserve tacos for Taco Tuesday.

Hired Legacy back in 2022 to do our siding and roof. There were a few issues we had but they did fix the issues and overall, they did a great job on our house. Flash forward to March 26th, a tree fell and took down some siding on the back of the house. Naturally, we wanted to hire Legacy again to repair it. Initially it was difficult to get a call back from someone just to get them to come out and give us a quote (they have an answering service). It took a week to get them to come out for the quote, and then when the day finally arrived, the rep Chris was an hour late without a phone call to even let us know he would be late. From there it took almost two weeks to get the quote back from Chris after multiple back and forths and failed promises that it would be done by a certain day and time, followed by excuses as to why he couldn't keep his word. We finally get the quote to submit to the insurance company and the insurance said in the quote we sent them, that there were extras put in there (gutters, fascia, and soffets) which were not damaged (which was true) and they denied it. So, we asked Chris if he could revise it, to which we were told that the quote is "universal", that it is correct, and it didn't include what the insurance company had said it did (gutters, fascia, soffets). To us, it did appear that it was on there and we could see where the insurance company was coming from. We had even texted him about it before the insurance company said no because we noticed the same thing. He assured us it was normal. At this point, after more back and forth, we had asked if he would be willing to talk to our adjuster and he said yes. He said he would look over our scope when he got home, which was a week ago today, and we haven't heard from him since. So, at this point, we have given up. It seems communication definitely seems an issue with these people and it is disappointing. He wasted our time. They were great in 2022, but now, in my opinion, they were unprofessional and unresponsive. As a customer that spent tens of thousands of dollars with them, I expected better.
