All Automotive – 1600 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh My brakes failed on my way to work, and I walked into All Automotive as a complete stranger—now that my car is back on the road, I wouldn’t trust anyone else in the city. They were right across the street from work and were able to get me in the same day—practically immediately. From the moment I arrived, the staff was calm, polite, and genuinely concerned about my safety. They worked quickly and kept me informed the entire time. After the diagnostic, they came back with clear photos of everything they found and carefully explained what needed to be fixed versus what was simply recommended, along with transparent pricing for each item. The diagnostic was quoted at $150 for an hour, but since it only took about 40 minutes, they even prorated the cost, which I truly appreciated. Having the photos allowed me to talk things through with family members who work on cars, and that transparency was incredibly reassuring. When we discussed pricing for the oil vacuum pump and brake repairs, even my own family agreed the prices were more than fair. To top it off, the dealership initially sent the wrong part for my brake lines. All Automotive overnighted the correct part on Friday and explained they could finish the repair Monday morning since they’re closed on weekends. When the shop manager learned that I live two hours away in Fairmont, WV and had already arranged a ride, he told me he would personally come in on Saturday to handle the repair himself if another team member couldn’t. That level of care and kindness—especially during the holiday season—meant more to me than I can put into words. This is hands down the most trusted mechanic in the city, and I won’t be going anywhere else while I’m in the area. If you’re looking for honest, transparent, and genuinely caring auto repair, I can’t recommend All Automotive highly enough.

10/10 recommend this place! We were visiting from Cleveland for a concert for one night, when our car started smoking 2 hours before the show started. We got in quickly, the inspection was thorough, and Chris walked us through everything in detail. He flagged some errors with previous repair work on the car and even offered to speak with our home repair shop to help explain the issue. He showed us what was happening under the hood, prices were fair, and service was quick and we got home in one piece. Thank you, Chris!
I was extremely blessed to find All Auto as I drove from Erie to bring my wife to an eye doctor appointment and unknown to me my oil filter was leaking and I ran completely out of oil as I arrived at the Doctors. The car was making pretty bad noises. When I was finally able to park safely I made the terrible discovery. After 2 hours of messing around...mixed with prayer, I was able to put 4 and a half quarts in the engine. I left the parking garage and drove to thd garage where Chris very graciously took the time to check things out. He discovered the terrible leak and completely redid the oil and filter change that had been done just the day before. He explained in detail what had happened and essecially saved the day. He was willing to confer with the garage in Erie and explain all that he found and did. All turned out well and we made it back home.I also commend Toyota for having good engines. The car is ten years old and somehow the engine did not seize up. Amazing ! Anyway...the service and all that went with it was a ten out of ten !
I had a very good experience at all. Automotive, the people was very kind and was able to help me with the problems I had with my car, Mr. Jim in Mr. Chris was very knowledgeable of the car that I have.
Can’t get a better group of mechanics. They saved my car when I needed it most. Very knowledgeable, very competent, and very helpful. I could not recommend them more.
