Five Star Home Services did an outstanding job installing our new heat pump and humidifier. The installation was extremely clean, professional, and clearly done with great attention to detail. Dakota and his colleague were excellent—courteous, knowledgeable, and very thorough throughout the entire process. It was incredibly cold outside on install day, yet they remained professional, focused, and never rushed the work. That level of care really stood out and is something I truly appreciate. I went through Lowe’s for this install and, to be honest, I was initially skeptical since I’ve used several HVAC companies in the past. I can confidently say I have no regrets at all. The entire process—from start to finish—was smooth, well-communicated, and exceeded my expectations. I’m very pleased with the results and would highly recommend Five Star Home Services to anyone looking for quality HVAC work done right.
Dakota and his partner did an incredible job installing a 60K BTU gas furnace and 2.5 ton outdoor a/c unit. They installed this as if he were putting it in his own home. They removed a very heavy concrete pad that the old a/c sat on outside and added a new one that fit the unit (square). They took the concrete pad and loaded it into their truck, which completely impressed me. Both worked non-stop (7.5 Hours) and never took a break. Both were friendly and made sure every accommodation was made during the install. The installers requested additional parts for the hood, which were delivered but not exactly as requested. He assured me they would correct this, but everything was running after they left. Now, I will monitor the operation of the system in the coming weeks and months and give continuous additional feedback as necessary.

Update 22 November 2025 returned back to 5 Stars Five stars home services collaborated with Rapid Response. Rapid response, Gary came and set up the mold remiadation, and isolated the effected area. His team then came and replaced damaged wood, replaced damaged door, reinstalled the wall, and finished up the painting/sanding. The only thing that wasn't done, was the semi-gloss door paint. But, five star really did show integrity for the water leaks, and did the repairs! Update Nov 12 2025 Mold remiaditor pulled out molded pieces and air fan to collect all spores Update Nov 11 2025 Five star sent mold remiaditor and he put air fan to collect all spores Update nov 10 2025 The manager was not scheduled nor was remediation scheduled!! Wow, do not use this company Update Nov 7-8 2025 Nov8 2025 Steve came and identified the leak. The installers used silicone and the silicone leaked around the drain. The silicone looks moldy bc water continuously leaking thru it. There is mold on the basement ceiling. Steve fixed the leak by using putty, and said he's going to have mold remiadition come and remiadate bathroom as well as have manager come Monday 10 Nov 2025. Nov7 2025 There is another leak from the same job site! The kids took baths and it's still leaking into the basement below! The floor and walls are wet! The ceiling to the basement is wet! I called and they scheduled someone for next day 12p-5pm, let's see if they come. Update June/July 2025 Kyle identified the leak. Kyle fixed the leak. No more leak! LET ME TELL YOU, FIVE STARS HOME SERVICES DAYTON IS GREAT! HONESTLY, THIS TEAM IS REALLY DEDICATED AND COMMITTED TO RESOLVING ALL ISSUES. VERY THANKFUL WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH THIS TEAM. Update June 2025 I'm changing my review from five stars to zero stars. Unfortunately, five star home services Dayton did not complete the work we paid for in the basement bathroom. The basement bathroom was quoted separately as the upstairs hallway bathroom leaked to the basement bathroom. I took a picture April 30th after the guy came and did the drywall. Since then, there has been a leak! Five star did the plumbing work above when they did the hallway bathroom. I told them the basement bathroom smells like mold and I sent them pictures of the mold in the basement. They denied it! I uploaded pictures from April 30th 2025, when you can see the drywall is still drying. The most up-to-date picture is from June 2025 or you can see black mold. Five star did The upstairs bathroom remodel! They are denying that they did anything wrong! Initial 5 star: Jesse and Raj are awesome! They did the work in a week for our hallway bathroom. They came back on Friday to do a upstairs walk-through with me, and they remediated the minor tiny details. I appreciate the hard work that Jesse and Raj did at our house! I look forward to using this company in the future!
I received very quick same day service from Five Star to fix an issue with my heat. My technician Brandon Lowery was extremely knowledgeable and immediately identified the issue with my heating system. He went above and beyond by performing some preventative maintenance, made system adjustments, and told me about what would likely be issues in the near future so I could stay ahead of other failures. It was a great experience and definitely recommend Five Star.
Our furnace went out at the worst possible time! But Monday, after the historic snowstorm the day before, Five Star was taking calls. Ryan the service tech came out that day and we had a new furnace Tuesday. I'm so grateful for these guys! Our tech Jesse and his helper were here at 9am Tuesday to start putting in the furnace and by that evening we were warm again. They didn't take a lunch or even use the bathroom. Just worked hard all day to get our new furnace up and running. Could not ask for better service! Thank you Five Star, we are incredibly grateful!
