This park is the perfect educational hidden gem in the Denver area. It’s the perfect summer activity for kids of all ages and quite cheap too! The employees were incredibly kind and we got a private tour of the main house. The biggest hit with my nanny kids were the animals!
We just moved to the area and were looking for something to do. I found out Denver has many free events. So, this is the first one we attended. I brought my 16, 5, 2 and NB. They greeted us immediately and gave us a map of the property. We had fun walking around and checking out the animals and historic buildings on site. It is wild this place is right in the middle of a neighborhood. The only issue we had was parking because we the lot is full you're out of options.
This was a great day! We loved meeting the animals ( and the friendly volunteers who helped us feed them) The tour of the old house was interesting and the house was very well restored. Lots of space for the kids to explore, we packed some sandwiches and they had lots of picnic tables available.

We went here while they were celebrating indigenous people and their culture, it was very informative and fun! They had dancing and my kids loved that and so did I. They have animals and a blacksmith. It was a great place to get my kids out to.
This place is pretty neat! A bit expensive but a cool experience. I do recommend buying the tickets online and adding the food option (saves a lot of money) There’s lots of lights and things to look at. It is dirt so wear appropriate shoes & grab a jacket. There’s tons of lights and interactive games. All ages enjoy this kind of thing! The food depending on what you get can be good. They had a lot of issues the night we went. We had cold chicken and salty burgers but the fries were hot n fresh!
