I think the idea of this place is cool, but it really needs some money put into it. I'm glad we went on a Free day because I would have been upset to pay an entrance fee for what is there. There is a super small inside gallery area. A bunch of exhibits were covered so you couldn't see them. The outside is a small village with two structures. It was cool to go in and see you those looked like. There are plaques with what is around the circle area and you can either scan the QR code to get that information or borrow one of their books to learn about it. I think that's pretty cool. I think there is massive room for improvement and making things just look nicer. I think those in charge could learn a lot from how the Great Council State Park was done. Lots of room for more hands and interactive things to keep the kids interesting in learning about our past. This could also spell more revenue from schools for Field Trips.
My cousin and I stopped by in August and had a great time. We are both HUGE history nerds and just loved all of the facts and information that was provided. We did read everything and looked at all of the artifacts so we were probably there for about 90 minutes to 2 hours. We enjoyed the outside village as well. The only downside was the day we decided to go it was blistering hot, but still a great site to learn about the history of the area. Staff was very friendly as well. If you have a couple of hours to spare, I would definitely check it out.

This was an awesome place to visit! It was very informative, but is clearly a work in progress. I can’t wait to see what it will look like as they make progress.
Some of the exhibits are down for being racist, but it wasnt on purpose. Its still very very cool!
First, let me say this is worth a visit for the education and history. The exhibits were neat but over half were closed at the time we went. I also found that some of the information in the exhibit lacked clarity (ex. dug on site? Etc). The informational video was great. There was definitely less to see than several years ago given the review pictures. I was hoping for a little more outside, even informational signs describing more detail while on site. The signs leading up to the site outside were great. Also, of their website worked I think that would be helpful for people who want to plan a trip. As of 2025 - $7 adults. $6 age 3 and up. Under 3 are free.
