The hotel is pretty modern. It is a boutique hotel, with only 5 rooms for each floor. Booked directly through the hotels website. It included a few city freebies via email, but if you are booking the same day, you may never receive a way to redeem them. The rooms we had was very spacious, very modern. The bathroom had a separate shower and a spacious soaker tub! Very relaxing! There is a TV built into the mirror in the bathroom, but it's not mentioned anywhere on the website that it's there. I wasn't a fan of the pillows and the bed could have maybe been a little softer, but overall...a great stay! All of the staff was wonderful! I think the only things that could make it better would be a gym/fitness center and/or a pool. Maybe converting one of the conference rooms to a gym could work.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Ivy Hotel. The hotel was spotless, and the contemporary modern design was exactly my style. From the moment I walked in, the entrance, lobby, and even the elevators had a sleek, upscale feel that made a great first impression. We stayed on the 11th floor, and the view overlooking the Chicago skyline was beautiful, especially in the evening. The king-size platform bed was very comfortable, and I also appreciated how cozy and well-designed the living area was. Everything felt clean, modern, and well maintained. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, which made the experience even better. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, stylish hotel with comfortable accommodations and great city views.

Our room was clean, cool, and comfortable! The water was nice and hot for showers and even for a soak in the luxurious soaking tub in the room. The location was great for walking around and exploring Chicago! A few minutes walk from a Stan's Donuts and a few doors down from Garrett's Popcorn made us super happy! Rooftop area is only available for reserved functions.
We recently stayed at a hotel in Chicago, and it largely met our expectations based on the website description. The location was excellent—close to wonderful restaurants, the pier, and Miracle Mile, all within walking distance, which made our visit very convenient. The room was comfortable, although the bed was quite soft and lower to the ground. Overall, it was satisfactory. The bathroom, however, was fantastic! The shower had impressive water pressure, and the tub and counter space were excellent features that added to our experience. The hotel maintained a peaceful atmosphere, and we appreciated not hearing noise from neighboring rooms. One downside was our interaction with the front desk staff in the afternoons and evenings; unfortunately, the gentleman we encountered was quite rude. However, the morning staff member was exceptionally friendly and provided outstanding customer service, which helped balance our experience. Her professionalism and kindness were a key reason for our choice to book this hotel. In summary, if you’re looking for a clean, peaceful hotel situated in a prime location, this place is definitely worth considering!
I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately my experience with Ivy Boutique Hotel was extremely disappointing. Several months before my business trip to Chicago, I booked this hotel specifically because of its convenient location near my conference and its reasonable price. Unfortunately, I accidentally selected the wrong month while making the reservation. This was entirely my mistake, and I contacted the hotel immediately after discovering it. The hotel initially offered to transfer the value of my reservation to a new booking, which I sincerely appreciated. However, I then discovered that the room rate for the correct dates had increased to nearly five times the price I originally paid. As a result, the proposed solution became financially impossible. I politely asked whether the hotel could honor my original rate or offer another reasonable solution, considering this was an obvious booking mistake rather than a cancellation or change of plans. Unfortunately, no meaningful solution was offered. Customer service is often measured not by how a hotel handles ordinary reservations, but by how it treats guests when honest mistakes happen. Sadly, this experience left me feeling that flexibility and guest satisfaction were not priorities. I hope management will reconsider how situations like this are handled in the future.
