875 North Michigan Avenue, formerly known as the John Hancock Center, is one of Chicago’s most recognizable skyscrapers and a true architectural masterpiece. Its sleek black design and distinctive X-shaped exterior make it stand out beautifully against the city skyline. Inside, you’ll find a mix of offices, residences, restaurants, and the famous 360 Chicago Observation Deck on the 94th floor, which offers one of the best views in the city. The building also houses the Signature Room and Lounge, where you can enjoy a meal or drink with an incredible panoramic view — especially stunning at sunset. The lobby area is elegant and well maintained, and the elevators are fast and efficient. Even just standing outside and looking up gives you a sense of how grand this structure really is. It’s conveniently located along the Magnificent Mile, surrounded by great shopping, dining, and cultural attractions. Whether you’re visiting for the view, the dining, or simply to admire its design, 875 North Michigan Avenue remains one of Chicago’s most iconic and unforgettable landmarks.
This 344-meter-tall skyscraper, known as the John Hancock Center until 2018, stands on Chicago's Magnificent Mile and remains one of the city's tallest buildings. Constructed between 1965 and 1969 by the architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the building, with its dark anodized aluminum facade and crossed steel frame, is still an architectural icon. Located on prestigious North Michigan Avenue, near Lake Shore Drive, the observatory on the 94th floor offers breathtaking views of Lake Michigan, the skyline, and the Chicago River. However, a visit to the observatory is only recommended when the skyscraper isn't shrouded in clouds 😉

This experience was absolutely incredible. 10/10 and worth the money to go up. The views of the city and Lake Michigan are completely unmatched. I paid a little bit extra for the sip option and it was worth it as cocktails up top are a bit pricier. Would definitely recommend this over the Sears Tower.
I visited on February 14 with my partner. He already had the tickets purchased, and they included one drink. There was a very long line to get in, and although I understand there can be a wait, the problem is that they sell too many tickets for the same time slot without having the capacity to handle everyone. It shouldn’t be based on strict time slots if they clearly can’t manage the volume — it would make more sense to sell general admission tickets and allow people to enter more smoothly. We also weren’t able to get the drink we had already paid for. The staff at the bar seemed in a bad mood, and there weren’t enough people working, which made everything slow and frustrating. We literally stayed only about 20 minutes and then left. Very bad experience. I definitely would not go back.
From the highest point of John Hancock Tower, you realize a truth you had never seen before. You will never know your true scale unless you rise to a great height. Here, you do not only see the city— you see the power of God in creating you, and in granting you the mind to achieve what once seemed impossible. From this height, you gaze upon a work of art created by God, and upon the miracle of the human mind that turned imagination into reality. Every angle tells a story, every view carries a narrative, and every horizon marks the beginning of a new ascent. Yet the northern side of the city gives you the answer. To your right: water and sky. To your left: towering buildings. It is as if God speaks in silence: Water is the source of life, through it your body and soul are revealed. The sky is our first home— we belong to Paradise before we belong to the earth. As for the buildings on your left, they represent the earth— a temporary place to invest our abilities, to strive for God’s purpose: worship, and the building of life. When you turn back, the scene reverses, and the message becomes complete: Believe in God. Purify yourself. Strive. So you may build the earth and be among the righteous. God’s equation is simple: Believe in God. Cleanse your heart of all that is harmful. Then believe in yourself— and begin the work. Let there be a paradise for you on earth as you walk toward the Paradise of the heavens. “And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.” “And We made from water every living thing.” “But for the one who fears the standing before his Lord are two gardens.” 🌙🙏Islam is the true religion: belief, purification, and purpose in perfect harmony. “Indeed, the religion in the sight of God is Islam.” (Qur’an 3:19)
