360 CHICAGO

This was the very first tourist attraction I visited after arriving in Chicago, and I’m so glad I chose it through CityPASS. It was also my first time visiting the city, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting Chicago to be this beautiful. I made a reservation for around 6 p.m. so I could catch golden hour, and it turned out to be the perfect time. I’d definitely recommend booking ahead if you can. The lines weren’t bad at all, and I got up to the observation deck pretty quickly. One of my favorite parts was the CloudBar. It’s such a nice addition because you can grab a drink or a snack while enjoying the incredible views of the river and skyline. The prices are definitely on the higher side, but that’s pretty much what you’d expect at an observation deck like this. I ended up staying much longer than I had planned because I just couldn’t stop looking at the views. This experience honestly changed my perception of Chicago. I had no idea the city was this stunning. Having now visited both Skydeck and 360 CHICAGO, if I only had time for one observation deck, this would be my pick without hesitation. The views were absolutely spectacular and one of the highlights of my trip.

I had planned to get tickets in advance, but I am glad that I had waited because the delay set my friend and I up for a such a beautiful sunset. We did the tilt while we were up there which was definitely worth the experience, but you can’t take pictures in the tilt you can only buy the pictures that the staff takes and those things are wildly overpriced. But all around that level are beautiful views and seats along the windows so you can chill and enjoy the scenery. The elevator ride goes very quickly as well so the whole thing from getting the tickets to waiting for an elevator to open was really only about 15 minutes on a weekday on a beautiful sunset evening.
