The hotel was conveniently located in downtown Portland with easy access to both the Red Line and Blue Line MAX stations. The Portland Art Museum was within walking distance, and there was a nice city park behind the hotel that provided a pleasant place to relax. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful during my stay, including holding my bags before check-in. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The lobby made a great first impression, and the property felt well cared for overall. I did not have an opportunity to try the restaurant or bar during my visit. One thing I did notice was that convenience stores and quick options for drinks and snacks were not as close as I expected. The hotel offered a small pantry area, though the selection was somewhat limited. Guests should also be aware that check-in begins at 4:00 PM, which is later than many hotels. Overall, this was a comfortable stay with a convenient location for sightseeing, public transportation, and nearby cultural attractions.
Great location for our concert at Providence Park. The bed was great as well as the pillows(soft king size). The big tub was awesome, the shower pressure was adequate. The room was a good size and very quiet. We were charged for the parking package and did not reserve it that way, the front desk host said they would look into getting us a refund and we never heard back from her. So this would be the only negative. The staff was very nice however.

I visited Portland over Labor Day weekend with a friend and stayed at the Paramount Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional to the room. A special thank you to Camille at the front desk, who truly made our stay memorable. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always happy to answer any questions we had. Her willingness to accommodate our travel plans made our departure day much less stressful and allowed us to enjoy the end of our trip at a comfortable pace. I’d also like to recognize the manager who assisted us during checkout. He was welcoming, professional, and genuinely pleasant to talk with, which left us with a great final impression of the hotel. The entire team made us feel valued and well taken care of throughout our stay. I would definitely stay here again and recommend the Paramount Hotel to anyone visiting Portland.
We recently stayed at the Paramount Hotel in Portland and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, but what really stood out was the staff. Every employee we encountered was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They consistently went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The only drawback was the hotel restaurant. The food was very good, but the service was extremely slow. It appeared that there was only one server working the entire dining room, and she was clearly overwhelmed. We felt bad for her because she was doing her best under difficult circumstances. Overall, this was a great stay, and I would absolutely stay here again. As an added bonus, the hotel is directly across from a beautiful park and just steps away from Marsh & Mallow, a charming little shop that is an absolute must-visit while you're in Portland!
This is a well maintained hotel in an excellent location with Ruth Chris Steakhouse on the corner. Easy walkability to anywhere downtown! Pros: the staff are extremely friendly, professional & accommodating. The location is 1st rate. The beds and pillows are heavenly perfection! The hotel is very quiet and we'll soundproofed. The cons: the hotel needs an update as it is dated. The water pressure is terrible. Water in the shower doesn't hold pressure and hot water dissipates after only 5 minutes which is awful. The bath towels are literally like rough sand paper. Honestly I have never stayed at a 4-star hotel with such poor towel quality. My husband felt the A/C unit was too loud as again its outdated.
