Valentino's Car Care

I would highly recommend Valentino’s for anything you need! Last year I was in the process of purchasing a used car and went to them to have a pre purchase inspection done. I let them know that it was my first time purchasing a car without someone helping me and I was a little nervous. They did a thorough inspection and explained their findings to me in plain language and even gave me some advice on how I could negotiate the price of the car (which worked btw), on top of all that, they didn’t even charge me for the inspection! Fast forward to today, my car battery is dead dead, I call to drop it off and they remember me and my car. They got to it quickly and offered a fair price. As a young woman, it can sometimes be difficult to find a mechanic you can trust but these guys are the best! The tow truck driver that dropped my car off even called me afterwards to sing Valentino’s praises.

I have never written a review before, but my experience was so bad I feel obligated to so others don’t deal with the same thing. I called to have them check a couple of lights on my dash. I asked prior to the call about pricing and they avoided my question and said to not worry about it we will see what is wrong with the car first. They said they would call me with an update before they did anything else to the car. They did not call and I received an invoice for $350 for a new battery, so I said I would come pick up the car and get the battery myself and install it. They said I had to come back later to pick up the car, since they ALREADY installed the battery without my permission, even though they previously said they would reach out or call me before doing anything. Alec seemed upset I didn’t want to get the battery from them and required a $100 battery diagnostic fee to get my keys back. A service that is free at any Autozone or similar store and took 30 seconds of them hooking the car up to the computer to get a reading. Alec was not good to work with and I highly recommend you not take your vehicle there!
