We had a great experience with Quentin from CJS. From the moment I met him at the door, I felt he had great customer care with the way he ensured that he and Deklan were there to resolve the two issues we had. As they worked together as a team, Deklan was successful in getting the AprilAire filtration system reinstalled to face the front on a professional manner. Now we can more easily replace our filters as needed. As Quentin did his best to try to figure out a way to relocate the power cord for the condenser outside. He patiently showed my wife and I that due to the wiring of our home within the electric service box, it was not possible to move it to the attic without having do a lot of cutting into our drywall. We mutually agreed that we will the location of the power cord for now. I appreciated Quentin taking the time he did to explain things to us in a caring way. They gave me a lot of confidence in their professionalism throughout the time they worked on our HVAC system.
Colin, Matt & Matt were the best! Very professional and knowledgeable. They did a fantastic job from start to finish. We had our central air replaced by CJS about 2 years ago and had the same experience but different employees. This is truly a great company. Every experience I have had has always been top notch. Since day one we have had great customer service on both the customer service side of things as well as the technicians. The company takes putting the customer first seriously and it is shown in the ways they make things right and they don't hesitate. We have appreciated this about them. We don't have much experience with other HVAC companies but wouldn't hesitate to use them again. We had a furnace and AC installed by them. Also, we appreciated Matt Rice's feedback and timeliness. Every technician we have met since 2019 has been a delight. Ty!
Beware -- Very, very disappointed. Had CJS Heating and Cooling out last Fall for service and inspection of our current system. Fall was just annual evaluation as normal maintenance. Technician did inspection then came out with a check list of things that were seriously WRONG. Primarily the electrical boards on our unit significantly discolored, needs replaced, not a matter of if, just when they will go. Was quoted replacement of boards or new units, continued reminding us failure was eminent...we elected not to do anything, just clean and Fall system check. Last week, woke up to no heat... thought uh oh we made a mistake. Called to have CJS come out for service.... Again we were verbally told boards were the problem, need to replace boards or get new unit right away, same script as pitched in Fall. Too similar, like scripted too well. (Looked at paperwork later and saw repair option notes, but NEVER mentioned. ) Same sales pitch was new boards for X, or new furnace and better deal if we want to do A/C at same time for XXX. Tech was even on phone with office during appt and office wanted to know what they could do to get our business TODAY. Advising us they need decision ASAP to get it ordered and in, for install next day. Remember we had no heat.... Didn't like the approach so had husband call another company for a 2nd opinion.....surprise a $300 service call and part replacement due to bad igniter switch and back up and working within an hour of that appt. Had the 2nd company come back to do a full furnace evaluate, and no surprise, no significant issues found on complete evaluation. Husband received a follow up call from CJS the next day, after they'd pushed us for replacement, and he told them exactly what happened, how minor part was needed, etc. Whomever called advised hubby that isn't how they do business and it was going to be checked into and he'd get a follow up call..... they tried one time to get back to my hubby, didn't leave a message, and haven't tried back again to give update on their pitch to scare us into new systems when it should have been a minimal repair. All I can say is be careful. This could have been a significant error, just taking their word for it, and not questioning their multiple pushes for new equipment. Not one I'll ever recommend or call for ANY future needs. 2nd company, CUSTOMER FOR LIFE.
Brooke was super kind, broke stuff down for us very easily and was just straight forward with pricing and options. It was nice to talk to someone who wasn’t super salesy…and she liked our dog!
