This was a great place to stay! Due to the rain our original campsite was a mud-pit around the campfire area. I called to switch sites to a drier area the next day and Julie was so kind and helpful about helping us switch. We were able to enjoy our stay more because of this and for that I’m grateful. The staff is SO friendly. The campground is super clean and well-kept. It’s close to the interstate which is convenient but you couldn’t tell cause it was still so peaceful. It’s close to Walmart if needed and local attractions like the National United States Air-force Museum which was awesome. The campground had fun activities and nice amenities. We would recommend coming here and would be happy to come back.
We had a great stay at KOA Dayton! Everything was very organized, super clean, and there were so many activities for kids to enjoy. Even though we only stayed one night, we would definitely return and become repeat customers. Be sure to ask about the kids’ scavenger hunt. It was a lot of fun and kept the kids entertained. The playgrounds and activity areas were amazing with plenty of space for families to spread out and play. There was lots of room to accommodate our truck and camper, making parking and setup easy. The staff in the camp store were very nice, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The campground was well maintained with neatly mowed grass and clean facilities. It was clear that the staff takes pride in keeping the property looking its best. We highly recommend KOA Dayton to families and travelers looking for a clean, organized, kid friendly campground!

As full time travelers, we have stayed at a lot of KOAs and this one is one of the best BUT I have to give it a 4 because the water pressure was below normal. The water color was also off as we filled a jug for our dogs to take hiking and it was golden color. We eventually did get clear water. The park itself is beautifully landscaped, clean, plenty of amenities and very friendly staff. They had games like horseshoes, corn hole, large chess and many more. A big pond for fishing. The sites were on rocks that were nicely packed down so it was pretty level. Each site had a nice fire ring and picnic table, and grassy area. Laundry had 3 small washing machines $2.00, and 6 dryers I think it was .25 for 6 minutes. Bathhouse had 6 showers, again the water pressure was horrible so try to use when no one else is there. They were clean and roomy. It’s a great spot off the freeway for an overnight stay. On weekends it’s busier with locals and families for a fun weekend getaway. You do hear freeway noise, I wasn’t bothered by it and in the office they offer free earplugs but honestly it is not bad at all. The area is so wooded you really don’t notice it and I’m a light sleeper. If they can figure out the water pressure this would be a 5 star all the way.
This campground is very well kept but the sites are extremely small. Our neighbors sewage drain was right against our patio. There are a lot of things for kids to do however there seemed to be no rules stating parental supervision required. Too many kids driving golf carts unsupervised. If you are wanting a relaxing camping trip without being packed in like sardines I would avoid this campground.
Overall, it was a really nice park especially for young children. We don't think the pond is stocked with fish even though they said it was. The sign on bathhouse doors during our stay said no hot water and those signs were up for 3 days. Kind of disappointing when you have several people needing to shower. The pool was nice and the little ones enjoyed to train ride and games under the shelter.
