Clean, comfortable room. Fantastic walk in shower, we hate tubs. Great design to have a sink and toilet in a separate room than the shower and bigger sink area. Bed was a bit soft. Easy access from the freeway with a long access road leading into the amusement park. I bet it’s super crowded in the summer. Plenty of parking but only for guests.
I had a wonderful stay at Marriott Springfield Carowinds. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location for visiting the park. My friends and I really enjoyed our time here and felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. I want to especially highlight Gina at the front desk. She was enthusiastic, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. She made check-in quick and easy, explained everything clearly, and kept such a positive attitude every time we saw her. It’s not often that someone’s energy genuinely improves your stay, but Gina absolutely did. Our room was comfortable, quiet, and well-kept, and the amenities were convenient for everything we needed. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable experience, and we left feeling really satisfied with our choice. I highly recommend Marriott Springfield Carowinds to anyone staying in the area. Great staff, comfortable rooms, and a welcoming atmosphere. We had a great time and would definitely come back again.

First time staying at a SpringHill suites and was pleasantly surprised. I am loyal to Hyatt so rarely deviate but needed some nights to stay a Marriott Bonvoy gold member. The carpet felt thick and plush. The doors and furniture were good quality. Beds were comfy. Only negatives were that lighting was a bit more poor and wallpaper was kind of peeling. Breakfast selection had chobani non fat yogurts in the fridge next to mini milk cartons and a topping bar. Various types of grab and go oatmeal and cereal cups. Hot breakfast of eggs, protein (sausage patties or bacon - it alternates) were of good quality. And they had these Pearl waffles which are Belgian waffles with a hard glaze. Smelled amazing. Overall would definitely stay there again!
This is a great location to stay at if you are visiting Carowinds, as the park entrance is just a little walk away. The rooms are nice and clean, the only thing I could complain about is that there really isn't a view of anything. Both sides of the hotel are perpendicular to the park, so all you see are trees. Some of the windows on the upper floors do face the park so you can gauge how busy the park is getting. A continental breakfast is included with your stay. If anything, a free meal is better than nothing. They do have your choice of yogurt; a variety of cold and hot cereals; eggs, bacon, and waffles; and coffee. We opted out of Room Service, so I can't review that, but from what I saw of the staff cleaning rooms, they do take care in preparing and cleaning up. The only downside of this location is can think of is that there isn't a lot in the area. If you want to go out to eat, you're going to have to drive there.
Back in August I booked a stay at this location for my birthday celebration at Carowinds. It was a one night stay, and at the counter the lady said I had to put down a $500 incidental hold on my card for the room and they said that it would drop back into my account as soon as I checked out with them within a day or two. This did not happen, I never got my $500 back and I will never book ever again with this company or at this location because the staff seemingly nice did not care about how I had to save up money to stay there for a birthday celebration and I don't got money like that and I stupidly thought I would be getting my $500 back when usually that's exactly what happens with incidental holds.. even though I've never come into contact with one that high. A bunch of liars. Thanks for stealing my hard-earned money.
