What a fabulous property. Staff were just excellent. So friendly and helpful. The property is meticulously maintained, everything was very clean and in good working order. There's lots of really nice outdoor seating, it's comfortable and in good condition and the fire pit works. Our room and bed were comfortable. There's plenty of parking and it's an easy walk on a well marked path to the theme park. We stayed at 7 Marriott properties on a recent trip to the USA and this was definitely the best. Well done!
We stayed 1 night in June 2026. Spent the day at Carowinds. We arrived early and no rooms were available, but we were able to park and leave the car and walk to the park. Its about a 10 min walk to the entrance of Carowinds. Room was nice. Breakfast was good. No complaints. The parking lot has a gate - so you either scan room key or push button to exit. Very convenient if you like being able to enter/leave Carowinds throughout the day.

Okay so the property is great, the rooms are great... No complaints there... But when we were there for a week straight, and had to ask for clean towels, and bedding, 3 separate days and still never got them? That's an issue. Once was the person, right outside of our room doing the cleaning/swapping.... Ignored us. Next, we asked twice at the lobby... They even wrote it down.... Not a single time did we get back to our room to anything exchanged or clean towels. Please be a little more attentive to your guests.
Love that there is a hotel right on site at Carowinds. It's an easy ~10 minute walk to the front gate. Some of the rooms have a nice view of the park. Wish more Six Flags parks had a hotel like this. Rooms and everything are nice, typical for a Springhill Suites. Beds were above average, more comfy than the Hilton Garden Inn and Holiday Inn we stayed at earlier in the trip. Parking is easy. Breakfast gets the job done, though not as many options as some other hotels. If you're not going to the park, it's not walkable to anything, but it's easily accessible to I-77 by car, and plenty of fast food and gas stations down there.
If you are looking to go to Carowinds and need a place close by, this is it. I love the Springhill Suites by Marriott properties and this did not disappoint. You are walking distance to the park and there is retail and dining locations close by. The staff here were very friendly and the breakfast crew did a great job of keeping the dining area clean, and the food plentiful. The rooms here are suites, and I personally love the layout. A sitting area with a sofa, bed, and a desk if you need it. The rooms come with a microwave, coffee maker, and a mini fridge. The Fitness Center is spacious, lots of cardio equipment, and other apparatus to meet your needs. Large outdoor area, which is seasonal. A large parking lot is on property, which requires your room key to get in and out. Easy access to the highway. It’s a great property, and I am sure I will return.
