The food was pretty good. French is not my usual cuisine, but I was traveling around uptown Charlotte and decided to try something new! I got the burger for the lunch special and my friend got their salmon salad, and my burger was quite good. It had an overpowering amount of garlic aïoli, which made it hard to finish, but otherwise it was good. The atmosphere was so nice. The restaurant had soft, beautiful music playing in the background. Everything was clean and the aesthetic was very pleasing to the eye. The service was a little slow. I was sitting at the bar and the bartenders came by multiple times without acknowledging us at the beginning, but I assume they were prepping and cleaning for a later service, but eventually they consistently came to us to get our order and make sure our food was good.
The meal here was outstanding, and the atmosphere felt warm, inviting, and relaxed. our server, was fantastic, she shared her personal experience as a customer before joining the team, which made her recommendations feel even more genuine. We tried her favorites, and they absolutely did not disappoint. The service was seamless, with no wait to be seated, and the staff worked together effortlessly, creating a smooth and welcoming dining experience. The portion sizes were just right for two of us, we shared everything and left perfectly satisfied. From the food to the attentive teamwork of the staff, everything about this visit was enjoyable. It’s the kind of place that makes dining feel both personal and special, and we can’t wait to come back.

It's a very elegant, peaceful, and beautiful place. If you're looking for a French feel, this is it. The food is good, but if you're in a hurry, this isn't the place for you. The food, and even the hot chocolate and croissants, take a while to arrive. Even so, it's delicious. The service is friendly and attentive, but a little slow. The only reason I'd give it 4 stars is because it's not a mom-friendly place. As a new mom who was there today, I struggled to change my daughter's diaper; there isn't a changing table, not even inside the building. There isn't enough space for a stroller, so you might be better off carrying the car seat or a 2-in-1. Enjoy your visit! ♥️🫰🏼✨️ Oh, by the way! If you're vegetarian, there aren't many options for you, keep that in mind!
Coquette offers Uptown Charlotte a well curated Parisian dining experience. Their chef, staff, and overall aesthetic take guests on an unpretentious journey through the French Countryside - without the jet lag! Our server, Merri, was attentive, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about Coquette’s menu, specials, and wine list - which I especially appreciated. After just a short conversation tableside, she impressed us with outstanding recommendations, all reflective of our individual tastes and preferences. These personal touch points were a welcome surprise, adding intimacy to an already elevated setting. It’s uncommon to find an upscale restaurant that prioritizes the overall dining experience and very few can make it seem as effortless and genuine as Coquette. All four courses were timed well and prepared perfectly by Chef Stefano Gallo whose culinary expertise shines as brightly as the Eiffel Tower. There are very few places I’d confidently recommend to business associates, friends, and family alike. Coquette is easily the exception.
We unfortunately were not impressed ~ First the hostess gave the wrong menu, and the paired down menu had no appetizers…odd. The presentation was nice but flavors , temps and textures unfortunately were not. I had to send the lamb picahanna back as it was too rare…was ordered medium rare. They seared it again and brought just the meat back, no accompaniments ~ also weird. For the price, you reset the plate. Maybe just an off night being busy with valentines. With Fine dining , I understand things can happen as well, but there are certain expectations when you are paying those prices. My wife had the puff pastry Au Lapin , barely any protein. We were actually the first 2 dining at 5:15. The waiter, Sawyer, was very knowledgeable. The mussels and cocktails were definitely worthy. We may give another shot once they relocate to new area.
