Fernbank Museum was absolutely worth the 4-hour drive from Tennessee! We arrived around 10:15 a.m. and had no trouble finding parking. The dinosaur exhibits on the first floor were incredible—the dinosaurs are enormous, and the displays are truly impressive. My daughter, Margaux, is a huge dinosaur fan, and she loved every minute of it. Admission includes one giant-screen movie of your choice. We originally wanted to watch "T.REX," but accidentally went into "Horse Power" instead. It turned out to be a great movie, so we enjoyed it! Since we still wanted to see "T.REX," we paid an additional $5 per person to watch a second movie, and it was definitely worth it. We also explored the outdoor forest area, although parts of it were closed for updates. Before leaving, we stopped by the cafeteria and had the grilled cheese, which was surprisingly delicious. Overall, we had a wonderful family experience and would highly recommend Fernbank Museum to anyone visiting Atlanta, especially if you have kids or love dinosaurs!
LOVED IT!!! Very child friendly, but as someone without kids it was still very fun. Wish they had a tiny bit more to do and a better selection for the shops. Other than that, very enjoyable experience as a dino lover.

The fernbank was good, not great. It had a lot of immersive and interactive exhibits, but I will say it was definitely geared towards kids. This is fine, but my husband and I were able to get through the museum and all of its information in about an hour and fifteen minutes because many of the exhibits were play scapes and child “learning labs” which wasn’t really advertised on their website. Maybe we didn’t read enough on their website about what to expect before going. It was also PACKED on a Saturday morning at 11am so I do not recommend going at that time unless you want kids constantly pushing their way into your space. They do have a lot of outside trails that seemed fun, but it was too cold to go outside. Either way, it was cool, but I don’t think it was worth the price of $28 for what we got as adults.
A good place to look around with children It was good to take a walk outside, but I think I should know the course well. There was a rough road. There are too many things to see indoors. When we went, we were filming and everyone was kind so that it wouldn‘t be inconvenient.
One of the best museums we have visited in our lifetime. Staff was friendly. Indoor as well as outdoor was super interactive. So much to see. Make it a day and bring a lunch and stay the entire day, you wont regret it. Even the 3D movie was so much fun. The only down fall was i left my post cards and magnet on the chair and left. We flew out that day and now I have no memories except my pictures for my album. Until the next time.
