Every time we come here, it feels like home. Flat Iron has a classic Irish pub feel, welcoming atmosphere, and the kind of place where you can sit anywhere and instantly feel comfortable. Beyond being the oldest Irish bar in the city, the food keeps us coming back. They’re known for their wings, and honestly, they might be my favorite in DC. The clam chowder is also outstanding. We always leave full, happy, and looking forward to the next visit.
Like it. Good vibe. Good food, kool bartender, ask for extra 1000 on the Ruben, it's very good. Skip the iced tea, it was fresh but probably needs stored in a glass container, cannot trust plastic these days. Memorable atmosphere.
Quaint yet busy Irish pub restaurant that my friend and I stopped by before going to a Cavs game. The drink menu is vast and fairly priced, and the food is a decent mix of classic American Gastropub with some Irish/British Isles flourishes. I got a chicken sandwich that was good overall, and was fairly priced for the amount of food. I was especially pleased with the service, from the very friendly bartender who also took our order, to the woman driving the shuttle bus that picked us up halfway to the arena when we decided to walk. They were all very busy with weekend traffic, but were still super helpful and friendly.

We had a wonderful experience at The Flat Iron Cafe in the Flats. We just visited the Cleveland Aquarium and were looking for some place close to eat. It was less than a 5 minute walk to The Flat Iron Cafe. My husband ordered a cheesesteak sandwich and I had a panini style sandwich and they were both great! The service was excellent at the atmosphere is very inviting! We will be back!
Whiskey burger and pierogies were phenomenal! We didn't enjoy the bay leaves in french onion soup they added great flavor but very tough if you ate them making the 'pick out' process tedious and messy. Overall a decent experience- several reservations during our time there so service was understandably lacking.
