10/10!! Everyone you encounter is professional, kind, and knowledgeable. The waiting area is clean and comfortable. Their service is exceptional and Ryder was a pleasure to work with. They even left a little promo card with branded mints in my car - so cute! Take your vehicle to Import Specialty Service. You can thank me later.
I had the water pump and timing belt of my VW Passat TDI replaced to fix the coolant leak; that repair cost $2600. After they drove the car to test it, the engine light came on, indicating that there was something wrong with the differential pressure sensor. Statistics show that damage to the sensor happens to more than 90% of the Passat TDI when the water pump is replaced because mechanics take off an assembly to which it is attached, instead of carefully removing the sensor first. According to the manager, they have the BEST VW TDI MECHANIC OF THE NASHVILLE AREA. Two things, if he was indeed the best, he would've removed it first, instead of taking the tubing it was attached to, thus applying pressure and breaking the sensor; secondly, a best mechanic would've known right away that he damaged the sensor, because he was the only one touched the car. A fair shop should've taken responsibility and covered it, instead, the technician wanted to charge me another $200 to disgnose that which any good technician should already know. To cut it short, they made me cough up another $184, the cost of the part that the best technician broke. The manager tried to make me feel ok, but a really good one should have used that instance to show the technician the importance of being careful, as well as that of taking on the responsibility of owning all that he does, whether it was an excellent repair or an accidental damage. That would have been integrity and reliability and trustworthiness and they would have made a new loyal customer. Will I go back, for something related to the warranty of the repair, yes; but for another repair or service, NO.

Took a leap of faith and made an appointment with the Import Specialty Service team when the air conditioning fully stopped working in my Volvo XC90. Their online reviews were great and I can see why. From the online scheduling to the quick parts and service repair turnaround, my experience was solid. They fixed my air conditioning and installed new rear brakes, and had it all done earlier than they said they would. I’m very pleased with Ryder and the team, and will absolutely use them again now that the Volvo dealership in Nashville has closed.
Very, very friendly staff. Work was done on my vehicle way below what the dealer would have charged me. They were thorough and gave me detailed info on what was done. Also recommended what I needed to have done next, and quoted me a fair price. Arranged a ride home after I dropped off my car, which was above and beyond what I expected. I will definitely go back in the future. Thank you to Mickey, Kevin, Doug and Ryder!! They will take good care of you!!
Ryder and the team always take great care of us at Import. We have a 2015 Mercedes GLK 350, and we’ve gotten it serviced there for most of its life once we purchased it. We’ve never had any issues, and in fact, the team calls out issues before they materialize, such as a recent question on whether we had ever had our transmission fluid changed (the previous owner never did per Carfax). We had had it done just before we moved to Nashville, but the question they asked shows their level of attention to detail. They used to service our 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan, and again, never any issues, and the team was proactive about addressing anything that came up with us. We’ll be loyal customers of Import for a very long time.
