Really must visit! When I went to the west two summers ago. I thought I saw it all when it came to Native Americans in Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico, as well as Cowboys and Western art. I was wrong. Not only did I get to see you with art, contemporary art, but also Native American art native to Indianapolis themselves It really was a great and short visit with my time there being just under an hour and still being able to appreciate and see everything there was to offer. I really would recommend going if you have a few hours and it’s great for groups or just by yourself. It’s not a type of museum where you need to bring your significant other or a bunch of children. It’s perfect for everyone or to just go alone.
We came to see the Jingle Rails and were absolutely amazed! What a huge and incredible display! The galleries have a lot of breathtaking West paintings and sculptures, there is currently also an Inuit art display upstairs. We need to come back to see all the exhibitions. Wonderful people work here!

Boundless backward looking negativity. The museum invites the visitor to hand wring and self flagellate over the complicated history of people on earth. While some of the art was good it was almost exclusively chasing what was not what is or what could be. The artists have been paid to convince you of how you are responsible for things you had no hand in and there being no way forward. Skip. Lazy and unimpressive
Beautiful animal surrealistic sculptures from the Inuit, teen loved it and wanted to take pictures of everything. Gorgeous art with natural materials, loved the contemporary art especially, and felt really serene afterwards. Will be back!
Definitely a great place to walk around. They have lots of sculptures and random art pieces around the property. Even without going inside this place has a lot to offer. Their grounds were clean with a peaceful atmosphere. Outback they had multiple sets of corn hole/bags which was a nice thing for the kids. Overall this is a nice place to see art and kill some time with the family.
