My husband and I went here for our anniversary breakfast and it was delicious! Our waitress was very kind and helpful with all of our requested accommodations. She also helped answer our questions about items on the menu to make sure they were allergen safe for both of us. We had a reservation and still had to wait 5-10 for someone to come over and seat us at the host stand, but the food easily makes up for that. We had the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and the Build Your Own Omelette, both of which we would highly recommend.
I got the Ruben with extra cheese. It came with fries and coleslaw, but I substituted the fries for mashed potatoes. The Ruben had corned beef and there was a perfect amount of dressing and sauerkraut on the sandwhich. Also the meat thinly sliced and stacked with a generous portion. The mashed potatoes were pretty good, added salt and pepper. Overall tasty sandwhich. As for the burger I was told it was good, and that the fries were perfect! Should have come for earlier dinner for a better view, but it was still nice! Our waiter was attentive and friendly.

I do not recommend the SPINACH & ARTICHOKE DIP - more table dollar store crackers dip was microwaved so it clumped up in seconds and way too salty. I paid $42 for a beer and spinach dip that took forever to receive. coffee pot in my room was filthy so I went and paid $7 CDN for a tiny cup to go, girl dropped me off a coffee and bill and left me waiting 10 minutes to pay. a couple waitresses were amazing
We decided to try The Factory South Shore since it’s conveniently located inside our hotel. We were seated immediately, which gave us high hopes. The restaurant was only moderately busy, and I noticed three waitresses working. Two appeared to be wiping tables and putting together condiments, napkins, and silverware, while only one seemed to be serving guests. Two other families were seated after us, and one of those tables was greeted within about five minutes. Meanwhile, my husband and I sat for a full 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us, not even to offer coffee or take a drink order. What made the experience even more disappointing was that they were serving a breakfast buffet, so it should have been a quick and easy start to the meal. Instead, we left without ever speaking to a server. If you’re staying at the hotel, I’d recommend skipping the restaurant and driving just three minutes up the road to The Speckled Egg. The food there was outstanding, the service was excellent, and it was well worth the short drive.
Our experience at the Factory at South Shore was terrible. We made a reservation for brunch and had to wait an additional 20 minutes past our reserved time to get seated. This normally wouldn’t be an issue, but the restaurant was empty, with only a few tables taken on a Sunday. I am not sure if they were short staffed, but I could tell everyone was flustered and had no idea what was going on. Dishes on the table we sat at were dirty and neighboring tables went uncleared for over 30 minutes after they left. Again, the restaurant was basically empty so there really wasn’t an excuse for this. Our food was mediocre at best. We ordered a waffle and pancakes and they were definitely just hotel continental breakfast ingredients at high end brunch prices. The only redeeming quality of this place is the view of the river. Don’t listen to any food influencers about this place. Would not recommend.
