I have stayed in a few IHG locations in Houston in this one has certainly become my preferred. The location is quiet and within reach of a few commodities. The lobby is well kept and clean. Rooms are decent. The staff has always been friendly to me. Mary especially has been very sweet and very helpful! It's nice recognizing faces at places you stay and Mary has certainly become one of those faces. She's kind, great to work with if you need help regarding your stay, and ensures that the customer is helped. The restaurant is decent and not too pricey. Actually the food is pretty good. Thank you for making a part of my Houston stays great! I'll be back!
As soon as I walked in the smell of the hotel was amazing! It smelled clean and fresh! I was greeted by a gentleman at the front desk and the check in process was seamless. The hotel lobby was very clean, along with the hallways and the room was up to par as well. Their continental breakfast was great and there was a variety of food bacon, oatmeal, French toast just to name a few. There was a young man that sat off to the side in the room if you may needed any assistance, he was there to assist. He even took your plate once you left from your table. Overall my family and I enjoyed the stay, and will be back again!

As an individual who travels extensively, exceeding 300 nights annually, I consistently select IHG properties as my preferred accommodation. Tonight, I am a guest at this particular Holiday Inn & Suites, preparing for the impending winter storm in Houston. I am consistently impressed by the exceptional hospitality provided. This evening, Kumar and Mary at the front desk were particularly helpful and contributed significantly to a comfortable and welcoming experience. Given my extensive hotel stays and access to numerous alternative providers, I wish to emphasize that this specific hotel is my preferred choice when visiting Houston. I highly recommend it.
Diamond IHG member and this hotel does not meet standards. That’s first start by saying staff is extremely rude, The restaurant took 45 minutes for wings and I asked for ranch dressing.. just for her to wait 15 minutes after I got my wings to tell me it was expired. It’s also inconvenience that you can’t use cash or credit card at the restaurant, It must be charged to the room. There is a no pet policy except for service animals, and I was awakened all throughout the night by a barking dog in the next room that barked at every little sound…. Also kids playing ding-dong-ditch at every door and the front desk does nothing about it! The rooms are outdated, I’ve never been to an IHG hotel that doesn’t have a hairdryer or a stopper for the tub….. The thing that makes me the most upset is, I went to this hotel four years ago, and the power went out… we were told rudely to evacuate because they did not know when the power was going to come back on so I had to walk down 5 flights of stairs with 5 bags…. Let me tell you There is NO EMERGENCY LIGHTS in the stairwell! I fell, broke my laptop and twisted my ankle! I booked this hotel despite my bad experience four years ago to give it the benefit of the doubt and guess what happened…. The power went out again and I was forced to walk down four flights of stairs in complete darkness….. there should always be a generator to have emergency lights in the stairwell in case of an emergency… i’m pretty sure this is a hazard. Last thing, I have charges for random amounts on my card, which I did not authorize and have no idea what they are from…. Didn’t see the on my itemized bill at check out so waiting to see what happens.
I booked this hotel partly because it advertised on-site/free parking. Unfortunately, my car was broken into while parked on the property. Not just mines there was 3 other cars that was Broken into as well. There was little security presence. If you’re traveling with a vehicle or valuables, this is not a place I’d recommend. Hotels can’t control crime everywhere, but they can control how seriously they take guest safety and definitely need to have 24hr security cameras on all four corners of the building. But my stay of the hotel was great and the receptionists was very nice on the night shift.
