We visited The Davidson last weekend for our wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint! We enjoyed some delicious champagne and also a very well made Old Fashioned. The eggplant preparation presentation was the highlight! It was delicious! The GM even came by our table to ensure that we had a memorable and wonderful experience! The food, service and atmosphere was amazing, which made our anniversary even more special. We truly enjoyed ourselves and will be back!
Davidson has a really nice ambience — stylish, warm, and comfortable without feeling overly formal. We visited during lunch on a Saturday, and it was surprisingly easy to get seated quickly, which was a great start. We ordered the Pesto creste di gallo, Roasted tomato cannelloni, and Spaghetti from the kids’ menu. The pastas were fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. The pesto creste di gallo had a bright, herby flavor, while the roasted tomato cannelloni was comforting and well-balanced. Our kid also enjoyed the spaghetti, which was simple but well done. One of the nicest touches was that the chef came out to say hello — a small gesture, but it made the experience feel more personal and memorable. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the wait. It took about 60 minutes for plates of pasta, which felt a bit too long, especially during lunch. The food was good, and the overall experience was pleasant, so we may try Davidson again — hopefully next time the kitchen timing is a little faster.

Our server Keke was phenomenal. She went out of her way to make her service feel intentional and warm. I’m glad we met her and so thankful to have the opportunity to eat here at the Davidson for my boyfriend’s birthday. The food’s presentation was beautiful and when we tried new things we found out weren’t to our liking, Keke made sure to get us something better and she was very gracious about our needs.
Recently experienced The Davidson for the first time, my partner and I loved the decor of the dining room and vibe of the restaurant, I really enjoy the service window that gives a peak inside the workings of the kitchen! Eliza our server walked us thru the menu and made us feel confident in our choices while suggesting other dishes we might enjoy! Liv the service manager checked on our table to make sure we were enjoying everything and made us feel at home. All the dishes were incredible thank you to the kitchen staff!
Fabulous restaurant in the heart of downtown Cincinnati. Everything was perfect from the moment we sat down. We had cosmos and old fashioneds which were recommended by our server, both were excellent. The old fashioned is served with an etched ice cube which elevated the experience. We started with the bread and three butters as well as the burrata. The butters were excellent, with the shallot butter being the tables favorite. The burrata was served atop a sweet jam that paired perfectly with the acidity of the balsamic vinegar. For entrees, we had the Porkchop, chicken, Steak frites, and the burger. The star of the table was the Porkchop. It was served with a delicious glaze and came on a bed of veggies. The chicken dish was also excellent. Cooked to perfection and served with an assortment of olives and potatoes. It was a bit salty from the sauce and olives but it was good. The steak was also cooked perfectly but the steak had a bit too much pepper to be paired with an au poivre sauce. Still an excellent dish. The burger was prepared well and came with excellent toppings. We were celebrating a birthday so our server brought out a delicious chocolate dessert that was the perfect texture and flavor. The service here was top notch. Our server, Morgan, was knowledgeable and attentive. She was even sharing with us places to check out since we’re looking to move to the area. The Davidson is a must try in Cincinnati if you’re looking for great food, excellent service, and an energetic ambiance.
