as a young woman I’ve always been nervous to go to the mechanic… until I met Tony! He’s a friendly, dependable, straight shooter who I can always trust to take good care of me. He never pressures me to get services done, he just presents the facts. He calls me kiddo and gave me a jug of coolant when I had a non-urgent leak that I couldn’t afford to fix right away. He must have daughters!! I truly trust him.
Tony is the man. Popped in early in the morning for a regular maintenance - oil change, tire rotation, air filter change, and get new windshield wipers. He showed me just how low the oil was in my car and kept things very straightforward and simple. He’s also a really great guy to strike up a conversation with! It’s also located next to a really great antique shop called “Ok,” definitely recommend popping in to kill some time. Grab coffee and a pastry from Botanica, make an annoying weekend chore an enjoyable one at Silverlake Automotive 👌🏼

I like this place. They are straight shooters and there feels like lot of experience here. I got a synthetic oil/ filter change with a tire rotation for a competitive price. It was quite a bit lower than the dealership for sure. They gave me a quote over the phone the day prior and I dropped it off as soon as they opened. This place is usually busy, but it was done before I could finish a cup of coffee in less than an hour. I recommend this shop.
I live in the east coast and my daughter lives in LA When her car broke down we had it towed to Silver Lake. Tony called me and explained what happened. He gave me my options and we decided on an engine swap. I have been in the auto business for 30 years and I knew he was correct and honest. When he quoted me the cost on the job I checked with my foreman in our shop. He said it was an extremely fair price. Tony gave me a time frame it should be finished. The job was done to the day and to the penny. Its nice to know that my daughter has a garage she can trust. It puts my mind at ease. THANK YOU TONY!
One of (if not the best) mechanic experiences I have ever had. Tony was very personable and informed, and he was very transparent with the costs and what exactly was being worked on. He even helped me remove some superficial damage that no one at the carwash or previous mechanics had ever paid attention to. Dropped my car off in the morning and was able to pick up later that afternoon. I will definitely be back for any future car problems and will recommend them to everyone who will listen to me!
