From the moment we walked into Court Street Kitchen, Jorge made us feel completely at home. He greeted us with genuine energy and stayed attentive all night without ever feeling overbearing. The service alone set the tone for a great evening. The restaurant has a quaint, stylish vibe that grows on you. At first, we weren’t quite sure what to expect, but as the night unfolded, the open layout between the bar and dining room created a lively atmosphere. Watching birthday celebrations roll through with Roman-candle desserts made the whole place feel like one big celebration you were lucky to be part of. We started with shrimp and oysters — and wow. The oysters were absolutely AMAZING. The vinegar dipping sauce elevated them to another level, and they were so good we immediately ordered another half dozen. The shrimp held its own too. Our bottle of wine wasn’t anything extraordinary, but Jorge kept our glasses full and the experience smooth from start to finish. For entrées, the branzino was truly something to write home about, perfectly prepared with a standout sauce. The lemon pepper chicken tasted like the best version of a home-cooked comfort meal — hearty, tender, and deeply satisfying. My girlfriend and I cleaned our plates without hesitation. After dinner, things somehow kept getting better. Curious about a dessert wine, we were surprised with complimentary limoncello shots with a splash of pomegranate — incredible. Then came a gooey vanilla ice cream, chocolate cake, caramel, and pecan dessert that disappeared within minutes. Just when we thought the night was over, another complimentary drink arrived featuring an ice cube rose — the perfect final touch. We walked out wondering how this place hadn’t already become a regular stop for us. In the past three months, I’ve dined at some of the best restaurants in Cincinnati, Puerto Rico, Indianapolis, and Chicago — and Court Street Kitchen easily lands in my top three. We’ll absolutely be back!!!
