Dr. Bonsteel and his staff treated me professionally and with kindness at my first visit. I was very pleased with the treatment plan and solutions to my issues. All my questions were answered to my satisfaction. Very good experience.
This was my second time to this office since I moved to Squirrel Hill last year. It took the dental hygienist less than 10 minutes to clean my teeth. Half of the time was providing water to help me rinse my mouth after she polished my teeth. I definitely miss the super slippery and smooth feeling after a real professional cleaning, if you know what I mean. They spent more than 20 minutes to persuade me getting an over $5000 invisalign during my first cleanung visit. They are very good at remind you about your appointment though. But if you want a decent cleaning, do not go there.

I have never felt so heated after a call from my dentist office – I have been a patient for six years and pleased with the hygienists and doctors, but they called to cancel my cleaning I made over a year ago (with less than 24 hours notice, a courtesy they ask patients to give them), and informed me I couldn't be rescheduled until June. The woman proceeded to be beyond rude, sarcastic, and pedantic with me, without any empathy for how frustrating this is for people like me who value planning ahead and decent courtesy. Based on this conversation I'll be leaving the practice, please don't go here if you like having a cleaning more than once a year, or enjoy being respected! (Also please know the business response to previous unhappy reviews leaves a phone number which is just their general office that brings you right back to the rude staff, so it’s an indecent attempt at appearing like they care.)
Extremely rude interaction I had this morning concerning a call to reschedule. I was interrupted twice and notified that there is only 1 hygienist on staff... in freaking Shady Side. How can this be acceptable, again? Okay fine, I have to wait until August, apparently. However, what isn't acceptable is the tone and general demeanor of the person at the other end of the phone. It's like she wants you to be so mad you choose another dentist. CH at Shady Side has lost a customer over this crap because it's not the first time I've had to deal with a rude front desk rep at this particular office. It's a damned shame, too, because I actually like the dental staff there. I'm happy to find another dentist after this interaction.
The front desk was welcoming. Lisa the dental hygentist was on time and great though cleaning and xrays. Dr Bonsteel was very friendly and helpful with explaining work that needed to be done. Lisa scheduled all the up coming appointments before I left. Lisa is the best. Wonderful.
