I had a very disappointing experience during my visit. This physician was filling in for my primary care doctor, who has consistently provided excellent care, so the contrast was very noticeable. Unfortunately, I found this doctor to be dismissive, unhelpful, and lacking basic professionalism. Throughout the appointment, I felt uncomfortable due to the doctor’s tone and behavior. He came across as rude and uninterested in listening to my concerns. Instead of offering guidance or explaining things clearly, the interaction felt rushed and dismissive. The overall attitude did not reflect the level of respect and care patients should expect.
All the medical professionals were excellent during my recent visit. I appreciate that. I did not have to wait a long time to get in to see the doctor. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating, the nurse that set me up in the room and did my weight blood pressure was very friendly and professional. Dr Purewal Took the time to listen to my concerns and go over any issues. I appreciate him very much. Finally, I gave blood at the lab and the phlebotomist Was great.

Appointment was for a sinus infection at Memorial Herman Convenient care where Dr. Dalbir Purewal will treat you like you’re visiting a convenient store. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a doctor. I explained that I’ve been using over-the-counter medications since childhood—long before they were even available OTC—and that they have never worked for me. Despite this, Dr. Purewal was dismissive and continued to recommend the same over-the-counter options, without offering any new or personalized treatment plan. The appointment lasted less than five minutes. He did prescribe an antibiotic, which felt more like a checkbox than a thoughtful decision. I was also advised to wear a mask, even though I brought up concerns about long-term effects based on current research. I asked about the impact of taking OTC meds year-round as he recommended and my concerns were brushed off without a meaningful explanation. I left the appointment feeling unheard and frustrated. It’s disappointing, especially after having a much better experience with another provider at the same location.
Awesome Doc! One of the standout qualities of Dr. Dalbir Purewal is his dedication to providing thorough and comprehensive care. Unlike many doctors who rush through appointments, Dr. Dalbir Purewal took the time to conduct a full physical examination, leaving no stone unturned. This attention to detail instilled a sense of confidence in me as a patient, knowing that he was committed to understanding my overall health. What truly sets Dr. Dalbir Purewal apart is his ability to think outside the box. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, he carefully considered my unique health needs and crafted a personalized plan. His innovative thinking and willingness to explore various options made me feel like a valued and individualized patient, not just a case number.
I came for my first visit and to request refills, he was good but he was so rushed and quick about it that he was practically almost out the door when we were still speaking. He may be acting fast cause I wasn't sick but it doesn't mean he has to rush through the appointment. Overall everyone is nice.
