Very nice experience with good food, and friendly, comfortable service. Food: Food was all freshly prepared, good portioning (not huge nor fussy), pastas were perfectly al-dente, gnocchi was on the hearty side but not gummy. Sauces were rich and flavorful. The short rib was extremely salty, but rich and tender. The white gorgonzola sauce was not too oily or buttery, and was smooth and nice. Dessert was a salted chocolate brownie, which was fantastic, though the vanilla ice cream was nothing special. Service: Service was attentive, a bit rushed (got my entree while eating my salad, our particular waiter was friendly but didn't really describe anything (we heard a different waiter being more patient and helpful). Atmosphere: I'd say it's "not quite upscale" but I don't mean that as a negative. It's comfortable, not stuffy, but still refined and nice enough for a lovely date night. You don't get much privacy as it's pretty open, but it's not too noisy and doesn't feel cramped.
Excellent dinner outside on the porch. The evening was cool and pretty and the staffing was attentive. We hadn’t been to Indianapolis before and this was such a unique place with authentic Italian food. The spaghetti was great and lasagna was also! Definitely recommend for dinner in Indy.

Being in Indy, I continue looking for food that satisfies that desire for good cuisine that I experience in my travels. Iozzo’s did not do so unfortunately. I went with a friend who works within the food industry and they were way more disappointed than I was. To begin, my personal issue with the meal was with my lasagna. I am not sure what my exact issue was but I found the sauce to be way more meat driven which I did not enjoy. The toasted cheese ravioli was forgettable, side salad just average. My friend got the burrata and said it was fine. Their biggest issue was with their gnocchi. They criticized the flavor and said they had went too heavy with the chicken paste, which was so overbearing they could not finish. Overall, the meal was fine but far more disappointing than anything. You hear about the great restaurants in Indy and this being one of them, it’s quite a take. I hate to leave such a negative review but when a ravioli is $16, lasagna $30, and gnocchi $36, it makes you question to what level the meal should be at. Service was quick and friendly, but I personally won’t be back nor recommend. Just average Italian food at a high premium.
This place has been on my bucket list for a few years now and it did not disappoint. Everything we had was delicious and every detail was thoughtful. The staff was so kind and attentive. The courtyard is the perfect vibe for a friday night date after a long week. We will definitely be back!
My husband and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary with dinner at Iozzo's. We absolutely loved everything, our server Dale was the best server we have ever had. The burrata was a delicious appetizer, the ricotta gnocchi was great, the lasagna was good. They gave us the spumoni dessert on the house to celebrate our anniversary and it was so delightful! We also ordered the chocolate budino to go to enjoy as a late night snack, it is also great. We have now talked about coming back every year to celebrate each anniversary.
